MotoMummy 08-23-2007, 11:27 PM We held off on this forum as we were building it up, but now that most modifications are done here she is. I'll keep this first post with a list of mods done to the bike. Any questions post up. At this point we are waiting on the electronics and a beta unit should be here very soon and then a front fork and custom paint job. The painters are already figuring out the design right now.
Any questions then post up...we'll keep it updated.

MotoMummy 08-23-2007, 11:34 PM a bit more...can't wait to post up the bodywork when it's done...
keeping to the meaning of sportbikes...ROAD RACING. nothing lowered or stretched here.
MotoMummy 08-25-2007, 11:05 AM looks like some woodcraft engine covers are headed our way :)
Damn man, that is looking good. Like I said in the thread on your site, I need a set of those rotor's for my K5. Keep up the good work and service.
DottoreItalia 08-25-2007, 08:31 PM Awesome Job Corey. Keep us posted. L8r
MotoMummy 08-25-2007, 09:14 PM best part is my wife has installed it all with me :) Not sure if any of you have called up and talked to Erin, but no hitting on her :)
thanks guys, we have a lot more to come, all road race oriented of course...
MotoMummy 08-30-2007, 07:19 PM The rotors are not out or for sale yet people. No eta as of yet either. Hopefully soon though.
greeneinc 08-30-2007, 08:12 PM Those front rotors look nice but due to the lack of material, can they provide a decent stopping surface?
MotoMummy 08-30-2007, 08:50 PM oh yes they do...i was afraid they wouldn't either, but they have had track guys on them for 2 season now. The initial bite is off the charts with these suckers also. They aren't the same material that most rotors are made of. They are SS but processed differently. All I can say at this time. I didn't think they would be all that functional, but after several super high speed fast stops in a row I was shocked. I actually did a ton of high speed stops as fast as I could. WOT through 6th then almost stoppie it then open it up and repeat. I was in shock. I called the manufacturer asap with my jaw dropped. I guess their first track guy tried to beat the hell out of them also and coudln't do it.
MotoMummy 08-30-2007, 09:14 PM We are waiting on the bazzaz electronics now and hopefully the wait won't be much longer, but things keep getting delayed :(
ant f 08-30-2007, 09:37 PM holy hell, huge chicken strips batman!!
MotoMummy 08-30-2007, 09:54 PM antf: That's what happens when you are waiting for electronics as we already posted and also what happens during a bike buildup when you are slapping parts on as fast as they come out. Thanks for noticing though :D
b/s gsxr 600 08-30-2007, 10:02 PM nice work great mods
MotoMummy 08-30-2007, 10:07 PM Got the full line of woodcraft going on next week also...the painters have the new paint scheme done also, looks incredible. Can't wait to see what you guys think of the finished product.
lexanidubs09 08-30-2007, 10:13 PM :drool very nice bike!!
ant f 09-01-2007, 05:07 PM i was just jokin with ya!! its certainly getting some enviable mods put on it!!
how much are those brembo calipers worth?
MotoMummy 09-01-2007, 05:43 PM The calipers are on our website for a I believe 1,500 or so. If you're interested though let me know as we can do a slight discount on them for you guys. They do make a huge difference though. No doubt about it. Soon we'll be putting an ohlins fork on it, but that's after the paintjob is complete.
Avplayer 09-01-2007, 06:10 PM hey corey, what the point of the Gilles Shifter rod support?
MotoMummy 09-01-2007, 09:58 PM instead of some of the force from the shift rod pushing the shaft out of the engine away and then turning it, it gets rid of all slop and makes all force go into turning the shaft instead of flexing/moving it a little. Gives firmer/smoother shifts. If you search the gsxr 1000 section there are a few threads about it. Hope this helps
A_DAWG 09-01-2007, 11:10 PM Corey.. any more of those akra's in stock?
carbon slip on.
MotoMummy 09-02-2007, 07:58 AM sorry, we sold out nearly immediately after getting them in. We should have more though in about 2 weeks it's looking like.
We are waiting on the bazzaz electronics now and hopefully the wait won't be much longer, but things keep getting delayed :(
are you gonna be using the Bazzaz ECU with traction control? :D
MotoMummy 09-02-2007, 02:21 PM We are going to be testing a beta unit for them it looks like at this time, but things keep getting pushed back and we don't know how long we can wait. If the software is going to miss the entire season we might have to move on. Right now they are hoping to release it to the public the first part of oct. If they can get us the testing unit when we were told then we want to try their unit and give a full review on here with pictures, graphs, install how-to, etc...it should be an AWESOME setup, but we are just hoping it comes out soon so we can get things rolling.

Will they have it for the K5 as well? I have their QS-4 unit and it been great. Will the traction control piece work with the Quickshifter? Just when I think Im close to done more stuff comes out.:shifty
A_DAWG 09-04-2007, 10:13 PM sorry, we sold out nearly immediately after getting them in. We should have more though in about 2 weeks it's looking like.
Do the slip-ons you are selling have the ti mid or the ss?
MotoMummy 09-04-2007, 11:22 PM all the akra's we sell are ti :) We don't sell the cheap versions at all! Same as we don't sell the cheap chain kits :)
A_DAWG 09-05-2007, 09:08 PM Good deal :punk Do you have an exact date when you will have more to sell?
MotoMummy 09-05-2007, 09:51 PM sept 15th we are hoping to get more :) backorders are already starting though. Since they are overseas the dates are an eta of course, but it should be right around there! Can't wait as akra's are surely in high demand right now and we sold our first batch so fast it made our heads spin.
A_DAWG 09-05-2007, 10:13 PM thats not too far away.. guess I need to get in on that before they are gone.
MotoMummy 09-05-2007, 10:20 PM yah, if you want one from us order up as we won't know how many we are getting until they are headed our way. could be more than enough or not enough, your guess is as good as mine, but a ton are on order :) we are keeping our fingers crossed
rktspd 09-05-2007, 10:20 PM how does the vortex gas cap work? it says there's a lock, but where is it?
A_DAWG 09-05-2007, 10:23 PM yah, if you want one from us order up as we won't know how many we are getting until they are headed our way. could be more than enough or not enough, your guess is as good as mine, but a ton are on order :) we are keeping our fingers crossed
good deal.. waiting for a couple of my auctions to end then you should see my order.. oh, also need 2 more lsl pucks.. they did their job but dont look to pretty now
MotoMummy 09-05-2007, 11:49 PM Do you like the lsl sliders? We added them and are looking at slapping them on our shop bike. They look like they are built well and high quality.
A_DAWG 09-06-2007, 11:42 AM Do you like the lsl sliders? We added them and are looking at slapping them on our shop bike. They look like they are built well and high quality.
This is the third bike I have had the lsl's on.. This is the first bike I have had to "test" them. 50mph low side and they did their job perfect. I like the way they mount. It takes all the stress off of the engine mount bolt during a hit. Plus the shape helps keep the bike from digging in and spinning.
MotoMummy 09-12-2007, 11:57 PM We just installed a pc3 on the bike and soon to be adding a quickshifter. We found out that the bazzaz unit is delayed yet again and we could no longer wait. Soon we'll be adding the pc3 as well. For now we have a map from jamie over at fuelmotousa.com and so far it appears to be working great.
MotoMummy 09-13-2007, 03:20 PM we just installed asv levers on our bike and these are the hottest levers i have EVER seen in my life. A bit more spendy but the adjustability is nuts. You can nearly make it touch the clipon and put it so far that it's out of reach. All adjustments are by mm also. it's nuts. Pictures will come later tonight.
MotoMummy 09-14-2007, 04:31 PM Today we installed the new ASV levers and a left hand side woodcraft cover. Here are some basic pics
MotoMummy 09-14-2007, 04:34 PM Here is a pic showing the asv lever pulled the other direction. This keeps it from breaking during a crash. A spring puts it back to where you have it set once you let go.
The next pic is then a pic with the lever adjusted all the way in. It adjusts in about 1mm or less increments and has over 100 adjustments as this thing is super adjustable. The other pic is a pic with it adjusted so far out I couldn't even grab the lever or make it function. Can't ask for more adjustments then that.
Isshinharu 09-14-2007, 04:43 PM Wow... that's a super nice bike. Good work!!! :cheers
MotoMummy 09-14-2007, 05:48 PM thanks, we have a lot more in store for it.
MotoMummy 09-15-2007, 03:07 PM Got the chain kit installed with the rear Marchesini. Went with the ek mvxz chrome chain along with black driven sprockets. Also installed a cf chainguard at the same time :) Pics will follow shortly
MotoMummy 09-16-2007, 12:45 PM Here is a pic with both marchesini's on the bike and the rear brake line installed. Plastics are off as we still have much more to do :)
A_DAWG 09-16-2007, 03:49 PM Bike looks sick :yumyum
Looks like in going to have to wait for the akro.. Do you have the m4 gp in ti in stock for the same bike?
MotoMummy 09-16-2007, 04:13 PM Our next m4 shipment will be here tomorrow or tue it looks like :) if you want it order up and you should have it in your hands in 3-4 business days if I had to guess.
A_DAWG 09-16-2007, 04:40 PM ok, Look for an order later this afternoon..
thanks
MotoMummy 09-16-2007, 05:43 PM Sounds good. should be in ANY day then you know we ship priority so you'll get it quickly :)
Mastro74 09-16-2007, 08:22 PM What kind of bar ends are those??? They look real cool.....Do they come in different colors???
MotoMummy 09-16-2007, 08:30 PM They are gilles bar ends and yes they come in diff colors. They only work on gilles clipons or variobars though. You can purchase the clipons and bar ends through our store.
2006GSXR600 09-16-2007, 09:16 PM Two words BADASS
MotoMummy 09-17-2007, 12:12 AM Thanks and wait until the next few mods...then things are going to get really good :)
A_DAWG 09-18-2007, 07:50 PM Our next m4 shipment will be here tomorrow or tue it looks like :) if you want it order up and you should have it in your hands in 3-4 business days if I had to guess.
Corey.. did the m4's make it?
MotoMummy 09-18-2007, 08:22 PM If you ordered that day it went out yesterday :) you should get it tomorrow I believe or thur at the very latest! Yup, we are fully stocked on m4's
A_DAWG 09-18-2007, 09:15 PM ok, thanks again :cheers
MotoMummy 09-18-2007, 10:02 PM Not a problem, post pics when you get it on :) Should look good
A_DAWG 09-18-2007, 11:14 PM will do..
A_DAWG 09-20-2007, 02:31 PM If you ordered that day it went out yesterday :) you should get it tomorrow I believe or thur at the very latest! Yup, we are fully stocked on m4's
dang... mail man came... no m4 :( Well, maybe Fri.
MotoMummy 09-25-2007, 06:12 PM Well today we installed the Magical Racing carbon fiber guage cluster trim (exclusive from MotoMummy) for United States. Super easy install and I think the pics will show the quality very well. We'll be importing a lot more cf parts for this bike and displaying them in the next mo or two. We brought in full carbon fiber mirrors also and the quality is INSANE along with the glass they use on the mirrors.
We also installed the dynojet ignition module and quickshifter and it's about the easiest install ever and works flawless.
Now for some pics.
chitownrida 09-25-2007, 09:21 PM magical racing is bad ass.. man when are those rotors going to go on sale? i'm waiting! lol
MotoMummy 09-25-2007, 09:31 PM Yes Magical Racing has a hell of a reputation. The rotors i'm not sure of :( right now the closest thing I know of are the galfer superbike rotors.
MotoMummy 09-26-2007, 09:58 PM Also no need to ask when the rotors will be for sale. Because it looks like in a month or so they might really be for sale it's looking like. Things are getting close :) Just wanted to let you all know. Stay tuned to this thread for info. The carriers will be black and rivets will be red, blue, or gold it looks like. I'll let you guys know the minute we know anything at all. Thanks guys...
neogix 09-27-2007, 07:19 AM dibs on a set of rotors....
MotoMummy 09-27-2007, 03:05 PM Yah, lots of people are waiting on these. Things are definitely looking good for getting these to production before too long.
neogix 09-28-2007, 07:58 AM if you decide to start taking pre-orders, let me know... i'd definitely be interested...
MotoMummy 09-28-2007, 07:51 PM The design that willbe sold to the public is complete and through testing and we got a set to test it before customers get it. The carrier is more badass looking then what we have and the rotor is more aggressive looking and suppose to be just as good. There are several designs and all work great, but this one was chosen to be the first set into production. We'll get pics when we get it on our bike tomorrow or monday. You won't be dissapointed. It's a step up in my opinion.
neogix 09-29-2007, 06:42 AM ooo.. i'm getting goosebumps already...
MotoMummy 10-01-2007, 05:02 PM Here are pics of the new rotors and these will be the first design available to the market. They are the ones on the left. IMO they are the best looking ones they have. The carrier was redesigned to fit the rotor design better also. Completely badass imo...i'll be riding them soon once we get the ohlins fork on also :)
mike s 10-02-2007, 09:29 PM bike looks great!! good work!!
neogix 10-06-2007, 03:46 AM i hope these don't turn out to be fantom rotors like those fantom durrani wheels...
MotoMummy 10-06-2007, 10:44 AM Well there was a huge paperwork/permit/patent issue with them, that looks like is coming to an end. there isn't an issue with them because there IS a product. Durrani never had a product to sell and we aren't taking orders on these until they are ready to ship. We don't every do preorders w/o a product ready to go or on the way to us. Once the paperwork is done all the material is purchased also. Just waiting for some red tape to get out of the way then production starts :) Proof of a product is our bike...hehe
I can't promise one mo, but for the first time it looks like it really is getting near.
Sab666 10-16-2007, 09:09 PM I've just had an accident in my pants :D
MotoMummy 10-16-2007, 10:26 PM you should pm toejam then, he'll help you with that accident :)
MotoMummy 10-19-2007, 12:44 AM bye Bye plastics...off to the paint factory to complete the bike.
Flounder 10-19-2007, 08:08 AM bye Bye plastics...off to the paint factory to complete the bike.
If I ever come out that way, I know exactly which bike will be targeted by me to "Borrow" :cheers:p
GM Gixxer 10-19-2007, 09:16 AM Pictures will be demanded as soon as they are installed, of course!
MotoMummy 10-19-2007, 09:30 AM All depends on what the magazines say...but we might give a neak peak of the bike when it's done :) Trying to build a bike that came compete in bike shows, but also still do what a sportbike is meant to do. Most mags now want only blinged out bikes so we are hoping to change that a little :) and give them a suzuki that will truly "own the track" or a show room floor.
The ohlins fork looks trick as ever on it.
MotoMummy 11-18-2007, 04:22 PM Well the bodywork is all prepped and starts getting painted this week. Also going to be putting on some Magical Racing cf parts...
MotoMummy 12-01-2007, 12:12 PM Here is a little teaser pic of part of the mockup that we are having done by the paint shop. The rest of the bike is even better and has a bit more to it. Should be done in two weeks and come out amazing. Look good and haul ass and be fully functional. We aren't into the show bikes that can no longer even be ridden due to chromed rotors and so on. This is a go/show bike we are building up.
Avplayer 12-01-2007, 01:28 PM are u usin stock plastics or race fairings?
MotoMummy 12-01-2007, 02:13 PM stock plastics so it will keep the exact same shape and look :) Want people to know it's a gsxr :)
fire337 12-02-2007, 10:23 AM What's going to be the ballpark cost of the rotors? Also that paintjob is going to look sick, can't wait to see it finished.
MotoMummy 12-02-2007, 12:54 PM Rotors should be priced between the galfer normal wave rotors and superbike rotors. It's not set in stone yet.
thanks, the paintjob should be done in two weeks or so. Should finish the bike off damn well. Going to be doing a few more cf parts as well when the paint goes on and probably some LSL frame sliders.
woo that bike is siick!
Whyd you go with aluminum marchesinis as opposed to the magnesium? (I know funding is not an issue...)
MotoMummy 12-13-2007, 12:35 AM Most alum rims feel the same as mag. Alum is stronger so they can focus most of the weight around the hub which makes them feel like a lighter rim compared to a lighter rim where more weight is on the outside. Basically the total weight isn't all you can go by. In my opinion it's alum or full carbon fiber. Once hit the price of mag you might as well make the jump to carbon fiber as that really makes a different in how it feels. With alum and mag they feel the same to me when riding them so why the pay the extra. CF rims though make a drastic difference over alum/mag, but we didn't want to go that route on this bike.
:) Glad you like the bike and wait 2 weeks and the paint job is going to be insane. Be a show bike that is all go :)
SEC2NUN 12-16-2007, 02:12 PM Bike looks great can't wait to see the finished product. Will any of these mods work on the 2006 1000? If so which ones? Great work :cheers
MotoMummy 12-16-2007, 06:35 PM levers, rearsets, puig windscreen, hugger, gilles clipons, spiegler brake lines, ohlins damper, rear fender elim (puig), driven grips, pc3, dynojet quickshifter will all work on an 06. You may have to buy them for your model but they look and function the exact same as on our bike. Our bike will be done very soon. We just got the last of our carbon fiber parts and we'll do a picture of the bike with a full updated parts list :)
Sab666 12-16-2007, 08:15 PM Did someone say carbon fibre..? :shifty
MotoMummy 12-16-2007, 08:20 PM yes, we just got another shipment in and will be adding more to our website and more to our bike when the bodywork comes back :) Magical Racing cf is just pure sex...
MotoMummy 12-16-2007, 10:58 PM In fact we might even sell a cf wallet they sell :) lol sounds funny, but they really make one for the cf addicts out there.
Sab666 12-17-2007, 01:17 AM Yeh i saw it on their website, looks awesome, and yes i want one :D but im waiting till u get all the bits in so it can be sent down in one shipment..
Avplayer 12-17-2007, 06:55 AM In fact we might even sell a cf wallet they sell :) lol sounds funny, but they really make one for the cf addicts out there.
interesting....:yumyum:wait
http://www.moto-works.jp/products/yoroi_images/main.jpg
MotoMummy 12-17-2007, 10:58 AM yup, it's kinda cool :)
meenbeemer 12-21-2007, 10:21 AM yup, it's kinda cool :)
my wallet is lightweight enough spending all my money on your wesite :scratch
MotoMummy 12-21-2007, 11:07 AM lol yah i don't think it's made to be lightweight, but more for looks and just to be different/cool. It is pretty sick looking.
meenbeemer 01-02-2008, 03:17 PM how much weight difference do you thing/know is between stock and the marchessini aluminum and magnesium wheels ???
MotoMummy 01-02-2008, 07:10 PM between the alum there isn't a huge difference, but it's where the weight is located. It's close to the hub so it makes a dramatic difference. Even with magnesium since it's not as strong as alum more of the weight it on the outside and not near the hub like the alum. Between mag and alum there isn't a huge difference. I always recommend to go with alum or just buy bst's. Mag to me isn't worth the gain you get and the difference in cost. alum or cf. I noticed a good difference in the rims even though the weights are close.
The futher out the rotational weight the worse it is...
I can't wait to see it... hurry up already :)
MotoMummy 01-17-2008, 12:01 PM should be done in a week or so it looks like
BigDaveDogg 01-18-2008, 04:25 PM It's been a while since I've checked up on your shop bike build. Quite the progress so far. Can't wait to see the next update. :cheers
neogix 01-26-2008, 04:44 AM news on the rotors yet???
MotoMummy 01-26-2008, 09:46 AM They will be in our bike buildup thread and on our website when they are for sale. We are being told about a month right now.
MotoMummy 02-04-2008, 06:44 PM this is all we can release at this time, but I think you can tell that the airbrush job all over the bike is INCREDIBLE. We went to the best place in the country for it. All we have to do is swap out the screen and this sucker is ready to haul ass. Nice thing about this paintjob is that little blemishes froms rocks or what not won't be noticed :) since we plan on putting miles on this sucker!
I think you can tell that the painters who did this didn't spare anything...I wish I could show the entire bike, but not at this time. It's nuts to say the least and drastically changes as you follow the paintjob down the bike.
the mummy theme, sick paint and parts.
tax time is here and i will be talking to you!!!
nice bike
