I am not sure if I need to replace my throttle or if it can be fixed...here is the dilemma
The plastic part of the throttle, under the rubber has a chip on the under side. Because of this chip, about the size of your thumb nail, the rubber gets hung and causes the throttle to stick. Usually before I ride, I just push the rubber as far back as I can, but it takes no time to slide back toward the end and stick again. What are my options?

Hmm - I haven't heard about this problem before, but I could imagine having the throttle stick sucks... Maybe you could fix it with epoxy - fill it so it sticks out a bit and then grind and polish it down to fit. Cheaper than a new throttle http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Or, if that doesn't work, try to find a new one on eBay...

I could try it...the previous owner dropped the bike braking that part off of the throttle and breaking the end of the brake lever off...did not find out about the throttle until I rode it for a couple of days... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/plthumbsdown.gif

you could find the part on RonAyers micro fitche pictures and call and find out what you need and how much it cost. you can even e-mail chip since he posts here all the time.

That would annoy me enought to get it fixed right.
