i currently own a 02 f4i and was wondering about the whole vtwin thing. i like the sv1000s and the tiller and was leaning more toward the sv for my next bike. anywho, i was wondering if any of u guys who have a 1000s have run up against any of the 600rrs or even a 636 on the highway or twisties. how did u fare as far as speed on the straights and curves go? anyone here own both?

The SV1000 does the quarter mile in approx 10.29 Seconds. It will do more than just hang with a top speed of 172. And from a roll on, they would be toast. I don't know about the corners.

SV1Ks are great in corners http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Maybe it could use some somewhat harder front springs, but that's it. The suspension is fully adjustable. The "S" is somewhat faster turning, as the "N" has marginally steeper rake and longer trail and swingarm. This is done because it has less weight on the front because of the sitting position and nakedness...
