Checking on some insurance quotes and most seem to be right around $1000 a year for full coverage w/ $250 dect. Farm Bureau was the cheapest at $649 w/ $500. Anyone got something better???

I just got my rates down to $380 per year through State Farm. My only coverages are $25k/$50k/$25k liability and $500 deductible comprehensive and collision. I went with the state minimums on liability because I really don't see how I could cause $100k+ worth of damage with just a motorcycle...

General majority are going with State Farm.

Some agents require you to have another car insured with them in order to get the best rate.

I am basically paying $50/mo for my full coverage policy.

- $50 deductable for comp.
- $500 deductable for collision
- 100/300/100
- free towing
- rental reimbursement
- uninsured motorist

Pretty sweet deal actually.

39 and perfect record.

And yeah, Geico broke one off in me at first too.

It doesn't cost anything to call and get a quote.

Thats all it took for me to change over.

Spend that extra money on mods and track days.

I'm 20 and State Farm is giving me full coverage for $380/year.
Perfect record, MSF, high GPA discount, etc.

I found some competetive quotes, but because we have been with Geico for so long noone could beat the rate. I pay just under $800/year for full comp/collision.

I just switched from Geico. I liked them but state farm was much cheaper. I got more coverages for less money. 50/100/50 with $500 ded for 80/month. I have the same discounts and drving record as you. I'm 26. You may want to check them out. Good luck

Nope, Country is the cheapest bike insurance I've ever seen. They require you to have a car on the policy first, but full coverage is rarely over $250/yr. I ditched my car, though, and progressive (online, not local agents) does me pretty good.

I have the same coverage, but I am paying $307 per year at State Farm for my 07 Gixxer 1K.
My 07 Busa is $292 per year at the same place.
My 06 KTM is $265 per year.

Must have a lot to do with living in Wisconsin.

Figure you aren't going to be able to ride as long as you could if you lived in a nicer climate like Cali or Florida.

Not as many people, highways or crime (I would guess) too.

In this case... living in the sticks does have its advantages.

:D
