Water wetter does the same thing. Engine ice has a glycol ingredant, which is what antifreeze has in it and that is what is prevented on the track. Some how they get away with it. I just don't want to put anybody in any danger on the track if I were to crash and spill my coolant.
Just my two cents

I used it, and i found it worked better that water&water wetter......I also went on the track with it - I just told the tech guy that they use it in AMA (and showed him the label from the jug of Engine Ice) and he said okay...I think its cause he never heard of it before.

I read all about it, and I was kinda perplexed as to how it's allowed on the track, if it has glycol, or a substance similar to glycol in it???

It is not allowed on the track around here if they dont allow anti freez. I always wonder how something with a lower heat coefficent can cool better it just doesnt make sence. If it were true we would just be running strait antifreez in our engines stock. It is the same ingredent in enviromentally safe anti freeze at then times the cost.

THERE ARE A FEW FACTORS WITH COOLANT ,THERE IS BOILING POINT AND SPECIFIC HEAT CAPACITY.WATER HAS 4.2 KJ/KG AND GLYCHOL HAS ABOUT 3 KJ/KG. TAKING THIS INTO ACCOUNT PURE ANTIFREEZE WILL NOT REMOVE AS MUCH HEAT AS PURE WATER. BUT THE ANTI FREEZE HAS A HIGHER BOILING POINT.
ANY WAYS .MY GSXR 1000 CAME WITH 50% ANTI FREEZE AND I EMPTYED IT AND MADE A MIXTURE 2/3 WATER AND 1/3 ANTI FREEZE AND THE BIKE NOW RUNS COOLER BY ABOUT 6 C . THIS IS THE SECOND BIKE I TRIED THIS ON AND IT WORKED.BUT BE WARNED AS IT RAISES THE FREEZING POINT. AND MAY NOT WORK WITH ALL MODELS .I HAVE NOT STUDIED THIS IN DETAIL BUT THE ANTI FREEZE I NORMALLY BUY CAN BE DILUTED TO A 1/3 MIXTURE AND STILL PROVIDE ADEQUETE CORROSION PROTECTION

What makes a product road race legal is it's ability to clean up.

Anything, even water, is slippery at 100+ MPH

The issue in regards to legality is "can it be cleaned up easily?"

Standard antifreeze products use Ethylene Glycol (EG). When EG gets onto pavement (Concrete/asphalt) it soaks into the surface and is near impossible to clean up. No matter how much scrubbing you do with a cleaner, it leaves a residue. It does not come up. Only time can get it up.

The base fluid of Engine Ice is Propylene Glycol (PG), which is AMA, CCS and FUSA legal. It is legal because PG is water soluble and will clean up very easily with kitty litter for small spills and or a simple cleaner and water for large spills.

Engine Ice is a bit more than just a "regular enviro antifreeze" product. Engine Ice isn't a new product, we've been out for over 3 years now...it may be new to you, but it isn't new to a lot of racers in road racing and motocross.

Rather than go into a long post on what Engine Ice is, you may (or many of you already have) go read the Engine Ice website at www.engineice.cc (http://www.engineice.cc)

I used that stuff in my bike and noticed that it did nothing ot help lower the temp. If anything it might take my bike 2 minutes longer to warm up to operating temperature but it did nothing to lower the temp like it says on the label. I would not spend the money to buy it.

I was going to do water and waterwetter only but my mechanic talked me into engine ice. it seems to work well and it is biodegradable (for easy clean up) as well as non-harmful to animals...so it's environmentally friendly...not that I'll be dumping any on purpose.

The coolest combination of coolant on track days found is honestly 100% Engine Ice with a bottle of Water Wetter. Sound Crazy but as cool as you can get, pricy though.

i am running it for the first time but for the money I am not 100 percent sold. It has reduced operation temp but nothing severe
