: Shipping my GIX back to the states from the UK Anthony00 07-02-2003, 01:32 AM I am totally confused on how much money it will cost to ship my bike back to the states. First I need to know bike specs, UK (EU) specs? IF so then which one? Everything will have to be MPH (NO KPH), and you will have to pay import tax and state tax wherever your going. After all is said and done your probably better selling your current bike and buying new in the US. Let me know if I can help further. Othello 07-03-2003, 04:55 PM I went through this when I moved from the States to the UK. I sold my bike and bought another one here. Here's why: 1) It was going to cost about $800 to ship the bike here, $800 to ship it back. 2) It would have cost a bomb to get a new stock pipe, headlight, indicators, etc. fitted to meet UK specs. 3) It would have taken 6 weeks to get here and most likely would have got scratched. All in all, it just wasn't worth it. Sell it. When I move back I'll sell the one I bought here and buy one back in the States.
