: power commander quickshifter
Quick Toy 05-31-2007, 09:02 PM just bought a race bike and it has a quickshifter with GP shift. im switching back to regualr shifting after racing years of GP, cause its easier to bang 3 downshifts in a row with regular shift pattern
anyways. is there a way to use this quickshifter or do i need the other one ( one is push one is pull) and if so does anyone have one theyd wanna trade?
bike is an 05 gsxr 6, though i dont think it matters what kind of bike it is
Blipstein 06-01-2007, 11:09 AM You will need to get the one with regular shift
Cestode 06-01-2007, 11:39 AM You need the 4-102. You have the 4-101 for GP I believe
Easy$$ 06-01-2007, 11:59 AM Since we're on the subject...
1) i know some bikes require you to have the ignition module as well to operate the quickshiter. Is it necessary to have one for my bike? (05 600)
2) I was told the DJ quickshifter cuts the fuel delivery as opposed to the ignition. Is there any truth to that and if so are there any pros/cons associated with cutting the fuel delivery.
Ive thought about getting one but I have yet to decide.....im not running at the front so its not like that 0.002 of a second (whatever it is) is really going to matter a whole helluvalot
Quick Toy 06-01-2007, 12:04 PM anyone have a 4-102 they wanna trade for a 4-101?
gixxercrasher22 06-01-2007, 04:56 PM Ok I'm back, I just got done with most of my move to Randolph.
You only need the ignition module if your bike has dual injectors.

Dan and I were wondering where you hiding. Then I remembered you were probably moving.
Are you going to make Cresson?? I'll probably be there but only as a spectator and to help out Dan if he needs it.
davegsxrold929r 06-02-2007, 07:39 AM the 05 gsxr does not need the ign modu
the 05 1000 and 06 gsxrs do...
Quick Toy 06-02-2007, 09:13 AM ya all i need is just the opposite of what i have and just wondering if anyone wanted to trade cause i want to switch back to regualr shift from GP
gixxercrasher22 06-02-2007, 06:22 PM Try the WERA part forums. People are always trading them there. Won't race at Cresson, I may be there though.

Triple Nickel 06-04-2007, 07:57 AM I run a standard shift DJ QS on my 07 750 but I also run an ignition module.
I know someone with a push type DJ QS who is looking for a pull type GP shifter but he is on an 05 636. If you do some research and find that the part numbers will work with your bike I will get you in touch with him for a straight up trade.:cheers
gixxercrasher22 06-06-2007, 10:32 AM Bad news guys... there is a change of command of my squadron Friday afternoon that I HAVE to attend. They won't let me go.
I can't make the drive just to be a spectator...and no I'm not going to race with only two sunday morning practices....I don't think I could even pull that off!
Have fun, be safe, don't crash!

gixxercrasher22 06-06-2007, 02:53 PM Cool....new lid Steve?
The other helmet saved my head at Oak Hill. It actually just has a little nick but I decided to get another one because you never know...well actually, with me you do. :lol You can get snell AGVs for cheap, less than $200..
Did ya find what you were looking for there Steve?:lol
I think I was looking for puddles :biggrin . But hey, Rossi looks at the ground right ;) If he can do it so can I haha. But yeah I tend to look at the ground in front of me in that corner, there really is no reason to look far ahead in that instance, what matters is getting to the perfect spot to flick it left..
Oh yeah, I did touch my elbow on the curbing in the carousel later that day on the attack bike. Those PRs are actually pretty nice tires I must say, but it SUCKS riding on them in the wet.
This is seriously how slow we were going most of the day.

:spitOh yeah..... I forgot all about that!! I need to go dig up all those old threads! :lol
Yeah I like the PR...... you should try the PRC and PR3, really good for a couple races.;) Here's a quote from David the michelin guy "
All of the track records in the CMRA are held on the PRC front and PR3 rear except for the one Dane broke this weekend which was on a
190/55ZR17 Soft"
gixxercrasher22 06-06-2007, 03:04 PM Those threads were CLASSIC. Most of it got lost when GDC transfered to the new format, although I bet there are some racers here that swear he doesn't look at the ground. But the fact is the guy is makes his own rules on how to ride.

Probably due to all those years as a kid racing Blata Pocket bikes! :lol
