Is there anyone who might like to make a new friend? Girls/guys. . . I'm VERY new to riding, (don't even have my bike yet) and was looking for some riders to hang around and learn from.

I've been flagging bikers down on the parkways and streets since last year, trying to find people who'll be my friends, mentor me or at least throw me a few tips before I got my bike. Now that the day has come, I'm still without a trusted friend who rides, and just trying to learn on my own.

I live in Levittown, NY, and I hear the guys around the block from me rev up and take THEIR rockets out, and by the time I run out to catch them, they're gone. Thank the GODS for the gixxer.com site.

I hope to hear from a few of you. If only to say you exist. :)

I would definitely ride with you.....but I am from Vermont. I'm sure someone around you will see your post and get ahold of you. Good luck and be safe! :cheers

Also, you might want to sign up over here and get to know some riders in the area. I've met a good 25-30 fellow riders (whom I've actually ended up meeting and riding with) through this site.

And if those other people you're talking about are riding "rockets" you may want to consider not riding with them. :wacko

Yeah I took the Tramas course and everyone was into harleys and one guy had a GSXR already but didn't stay in touch. Most of them were older people, and not even from my area really.
