Hey guys,

I have my GSX-R 1000 2001 that I am considering on modding into a streetfighter after a 60kph T-Bone. The bike was valued at $AU 15000 (good value if u ask me http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif1 AU$ = 0.65 US$) and the wreck at AU$4700. WIth my riding gear on top I get paid $12000 AU in hand and keep the wreck. As I only see AU$3000 worth of work to make this into a nice streetfighter I am really considering it.

Aisde from fairing damage, light assembly, fairing stay etc the bikes not too bad.
One disc is warped, clutch lever, steering dampner, pipe, all fairings damaged aside from right thanks to frame slider (light scratches), the frame appears to be staright but I wont know until little later. I can sell off some of the good components to make up for the $$ in conversion.

I guess what I am asking is if anyone has made their 01/02 GSXR into a streefighter/nekkid bike, any usefull links they found, etc, any must read guides or starting points such as www sites etc.

I am not that mechanically orintated but have good friends to help http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for help / comments / advice

The gentleman in this post just finished major work on his new generation (01/02) 1000 streetfighter.
Link Clicky (http://www.gixxer.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB37&Number=491786&page=0 &view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1)

You can PM (Private Message) about what he has done to make his bike work. He may be in your area, as you are both from Australia. Well good luck.

And for future notice, their is a search feature on this website. I posted and several others did in this Streetfighters Forum several websites with streetfighter accesories.

Good Luck,
Travis
