Can anyone help. I have an 03 GSXR 600 40th anniversary and the FI light just started to come one. It only comes on in the morning and only for a little bit. The temperatire fluctuates up and down during this time, but the bike runs great. This light never come on in the afternoon...I think it has some thing to do with the fact the bike has already been ridin once.

Does anyone have any answers for me. Thanks

commonly its the throttle position sensor, take it to a dealer and have it checked out.

Thanks for the reply. I was trying to avoid the high cost dealer fees. I was told that I could put the bike in dealer mode and get the code and troubleshoot it from there? Is this true? Thanks

Ok, so I put the bike in dealer mode and get the code C26. Does anyone know what this means? Is it easily fixed? Thanks

hey

if you dont want to bring it to a dealer and you know wat you're doing, try to pick up a manual or else purchase the red R from here and download one from teh members only

C26 is the code for an ignition coil, i think it's #3

the manual will have a troubleshooting thing inside of it

i also have code C28 and am looking for some info to know if it is safe to ride on for a week or so until the appointment i made with a local dealership. the guy at the shop wasn't familiar with it and only would suggest that it wasn't a common error

it's something like STV Actuator Circuit malfunction

anyone know if it's a pressing concern (because it only comes on about 40% of the time i start my bike, and if i turn it off and restart it it goes away) or if it's ok to ride on it until i get to the shop?

How do you get it to tell you the code? Mine has come on and will not start at all!:banghead

Just google putting your bike in dealer mode. Its been a while, but I know I lifted up the passenger seat and underneath is like a black wire harness...I think I disconnected it, and I know I put a paperclip in there and jumped 2 sides together and then turned on the bike...then it gives you the code to tell you whats wrong with the bike. Hope this helps
