Hey, Ladies!
I might have posted a couple years ago when I last had a Gixxer. I suppose at 48 that I'll be the granny on this site, but oh well. We work with what we have. This is my third Gixxer--an '06 1000. I'm so not computer-literate and I have too many wrinkles to post pictures even if I could figure out how to do that.

Anyway, it's a great forum and I'm happy to be here! I live in Nowhere, Colorado which is beautiful, rural, and almost Utah. Red rocks mesa country. Sadly, there are few sportbikes around here unless they're passing through. And way fewer girls who ride. I usually ride with husband who--yikes--does not have a Gixxer but some weird bikes.

I'm from Oklahoma so when you had "boomer" in the title, I expected to see "Sooner" shortly after. Lucky for you, that was not the case ;) (Not an OU fan btw)

I am not far behind you, but at 37 I feel pretty good about having even more passion for life than I had at 21. I have always ridden with my husband and am looking for a bike to learn on...Respect goes to you, hope to talk to you soon.

Welcome Shannon! Always good to see another woman rider among the ranks....even better that you are a mature and experienced rider with, I am sure, good advice to offer. I know what you mean about being a lil older, when I read how young some of these posters are I cringe! At 41 I have always had the motto that "old is a state of mind", but some of the posts by younger kids remind me that I don't always have the same interests anymore...other than riding that is.
