Please help me with this question guys. I've searched & searched to find the answer but I'm getting no where. My friend has a black limited edition 2002 busa. He wanted to know if the TRE will get rid of the speed limiter on his bike. I found one post that said it would work on the 2002 and I found another post that said it would not work on the 2002. Does anyone know FOR SURE if the TRE will get rid of the speed limiter on the 2002 busa?

Why would it not work? There all the same computer. It killed mine on my 1000 but the speedo still wont go past 186. Still pulls revs once the speedo stops thats how i know for sure.

Put an unswitchable TRE on a Busa and you will break the engine case when you get 'kickback' from a failed start. And it will happen http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Much more potential is created in a cylinder with the 5th gear advance.

My TRE grenaded my engine case... Had the bike towed...
Forgot the take off the TRE...
They took off the TRE and put in their dispay case for sale...
Had Suzuki manufacture me a new case with a brand new original engine code stamp on the case...
Mailed it Falls Church...
And I got a new rebuilt engine for ZERO dollars...
They wouldn't even let me pay for the towing, which I owed.
