What do u call that sensor on the right side of the bike that controls the secondary butterflies?

throttle position sensor, is it?

Thanks.

The upper unit is the secondary throttle valve actuator and the lower one is the secondary throttle position sensor. Thanks, Richard

Thanks, much appreciated but if its not too much to ask....see my problem is that my bike wont redline in 2nd and upper gears ( DYNOED IT just for diagnostic reasons) and we opened up the air box to see what was wrong and it seems the secondary butterflies wont open.....so what do u think is wrong (STPS or STVA?)

Please advise and thank you kindly, i hear you have a store as well maybe i can purchase them through you!

It could be either of the two, it could also be a bad connection with one of the snap connectors at the sensor. If it is a bad sensor or actuator it should be setting a fault code, and yes I am a Suzuki dealer and can get you any parts. Thanks, Richard

The secondary throttle position sensor is $122 retail, your cost $104, and the actuator is $155 retail, your cost $132. But what you should do is cross the wires in the rear of the bike and find out what code it is holding. You will find a connector on the left side of the bike under the passenger seat, it will have a rubber cap on a white connector and only two wires in it. If you cross these wires over and then turn the key on the fault code will show up on your dash where you would usually see the engine temp. Thanks, Richard

hey 2wicked, Fliprider and I checked for codes today and it comes up 00. The FI light isn't always on though, it comes on intermittently; when the motor gets really hot (over 100) and when decellerating hard.

Also, Flip wants to know how long the parts will take if he orders from you.

Thanks

The 00 code means that there are no codes present. Not sure what to tell you. It is hard to diagnose a problem without the bike being here. It would take me 3 days to get the parts, as long as they are in stock in toronto. Thanks, Richard
