Whats up Guys.
I am new to this Forum and I have a bunch of questions. Well I have been on my 02 600cc for about 2 years now. My question is: I will like to Swap my 600cc to a 1000cc using the same frame? Can I use a newer 1000cc from 04-06? Do I have to change the frount forks and breaks as well as rear swing arm, Breaks and Sping?
Does a 01-03 engine fit in my Frame. I was told by the dealer that It will not fit in the 600 Frame and others that I ride with say it does. Really dont know what to do. I know I will not spend as much $$$ buying a new bike but I will like to keep this one because its a Classic body style. Let me know. Thanks.....

For the cost and ease, it would be a better option to just buy a 1000, and sell your 600 with all the stuff you want to swap. If you wanted the 1000 to look like a 600 you could probably swap the panels over.

this is not true, i baught a used 1000 motor off of ebay for $1500, and got the motor mounts from Hybrid racing for i think $125 and that is all of the money i spent on this conversion. i spent about 2 hours preping the bike for installation and was riding mine in about 4 hours from the time i got the 600 motor out and got the 1000 motor in. do a search there are many posts on this subject, and alot of useful information.
not to mention that it is cheaper then buying a 1000, the power to weight ratio is much greater then a 1000, im blowing by busas with my bike in the 1/4 and keeping up if not surpassing them on the street.

i dont think so , it depends what kind of 600 you buy though . i have a telefonica (paid 4k ) i did the swap for $1200. that includes the mounts from hybrid .thats 5200 for a sleeper telefonica , but if it was a regular 600 bule/white i would just buy a 1k . but in the end it comes down to what you want to do .

Its very possible that the guys on busas you raced were not experienced
drag racers on their bikes! i have a 1k busa / hybrid i built by my self and
its not a very hard project! just make sure you have all the tools to do the job on your engine swap project thats where it all really matters!
i didnt get my motor mounts from hybrid racing i went to my local metal fab shop and showed them the bracket template i saw in bugmans forum and they made them for me for $60.00
it is a lot cheaper to build a hybrid than to buy a new bike because you already have your frame and wheels and gauges etc your biggest expense
will be your motor purchase.
i purchased my 04 busa clean title motor for $1000.00
Do it your self save some money and you can still use your same fairings
and wiring harness and gauge if you like and the clutch set up! depending
on the year motor you buy but the one you buy should have clutches in it already! heres a pic of my busa 1k hybrid.
