TC (Ytry2) sold his 900RR to a scumbag that wrote him a stolen check. It's a long story as to why the funds were ok'd initially, however we have a lot of information and I am posting this in the hopes that this one can be recovered. Also if you are affiliated with a local shop or dealership (including 4x4 shops) please post this up if possible.

The bike stolen is a 1997 CBR900RR, yellow and white. Pics will follow this information.

We believe he guy's name is John Scheffer (spelling on last name might be wrong). He stole a checkbook from a guy named Scott and passed a check to TC.

"John" is between 5'11 and 6', very skinny, with short dark hair and brown eyes. He has no visible features like tattoos. He said he worked as a cook at the Broadmoor in Colo Spgs, and that he lived in Morisson (neither of these have been verified). He's a NASCAR freak and drives a lifted 4x4 (vehicle unseen). He also mentioned he is or will be attending the Culinary Academy, I assume in Denver. The bike has 929 mirrors, which do not fit - they hang down, not up. The kid also bought TC's OGK replica helmet which has red/orange/black flames, and red/black/white checkers. It can be identified by a chatterbox cable wrapped in blue tape on the left side. He was seen near I-70 Thursday however no one knew about this then so he was not stopped.

John also hangs with a guy named Chris, a fat mofo at 210lbs and 5'9 with brown hair and tattoos of some kind of character design. They were both wearing black jeans and black T-shirts.

I hate to see bikes get stolen, and I really hate it when it's my friend's bike. If anyone sees this guy or the bike, please notify the police and let us know (post here so TC sees it, I'm not sure if he wants his cell # on the board or not).

I have a friend who will be moving to the Springs as a Chef at the Broadmore. I dunno when he is getting down there and set up I will see if he might be able to do a little detective work for us.

heavy into Meth, stole checks from Jennifer Walker.
May have attended high school at Standley Lake, Pomona, or Arvada.
Drives a white 80's model Subaru with grateful dead sticker in the back
window, and orange flames on the front hood and fender *I have seen
this car before, while out riding. It is a POS.* Just need a plate
number. and or a photo to id. * Might have spotted the bike last night,
primer 900rr traveling north on Wadsworth Blvd at pomona drive, at a high
rate of speed with a police officer close behind no helmet, However we
could not get turned around fast enough to follow.*

John Sheppard is in custody at the Douglas County Jail. He was apprehended by douglas county officials for writing a bad check to a kid and stealing his bike. The check was his own and it bounced... *dumb ass*

The boulder county sheriffs department did some asking around to other counties in order to help my case... That is when John Sheppard was found in jail...

Brian and I did a police line up and picked him out with out a doubt..
he will be charged with
Grand theft Auto 2 counts
Forgery
impersonation
possession of a fake id
and a few others...

He is a Cook, but can not hold down a job to save his life
he has a rap sheet a mile long. He does drive a late 80's Subaru with a flame job.
he is part of a Meth ring that is in operation all the way up Coal creek canyon...
if they steal a bike by *hot wire* *jacking up the Ing. then they will part it out.
if they get a bike with a Key, they trade it among them selves for material to make meth, meth its self, blank checks, or credit card numbers. *SO IT IS STILL OUT THERE*

THEY HAVE NOT FOUND HIS BUDDY CHRIS YET... Bigger guy 240 pounds, Caucasian, 5' 10" hazel /dark eyes, spider web tatoo on right elbow went to Pomona/standley lake/warren tech.

The will steal the license plate off a similar motorcycle ie. in my case it will be off a 96/97/98 Honda cbr900rr that is either black or yellow. they do this cause the police really do not know the different models of bikes... and unless something triggers the cop to look at the vin, it wont happen.

NOW THE BIKE The police said that they still can not find it!
so it is still out there on the roads...and maybe a different color... PLEASE help me get this thing back, give me every plate number you see on a 97-9RR. and or call me with the location... I will never see any money from this kid, so the only thing I can do is get the bike back before it is wrecked and damaged...
