I'm riding to the outerbanks in about three weeks and need new tires.....been runnin' dunlop d207's but getting shitty mileage out of them local shop told me the bridgestone's are a little harder compound but don't sacrafice a lot of grip. Gonna be putting like 1200 miles on them in a week and a half, so I'm trying to get something that will last longer than just my trip

I have a set of 020's on mine. I do a lot of straight riding during the work week. I like the back pretty good. I last forever at least for me. I will not put another 020 on the front as it does not have near the grip of a 207. Granted the 020's are Bridgestone sport touring tires but got a deal I could not pass up on them. Im gonna try 010's or the 012 next.

I know that the guys over on the PNW VFR list just rave about the brickstones... ...just teasing, I've never used them. I've run the 207's on my gix and I hated them... the round profile made the steering too heavy for my liking. I've used the Dragon EVO tires and I think they're the best thing since sliced bread... except Pirelli stopped making them and the replacement is the "Diablo" - I'll be fitting a pair of those on mine sometime this summer.

I've had three sets of 020s on my '94 wr, concider myself to be a fairly hard rider and they've never let go on me. As for mileage, I recon to get 4000 miles out of a rear. Perform really well on the track too.
If it's mileage your after you gotta go with the 020s

For years I was NOT a Bridgestone fan, but it seems with the BT56SS and its descendants they have definitely got it 'right' re wear vs grip. A lot of my friends use them for both street and track days (10s and 12s) plus my wife has a new set of 010s on her F4 and is smiling so far. Though brand prejudices run hard in my pointed little head, it is pretty hard to argue with the evidence! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I'm using the Bridgestone BT010 for front and rear, very good grip in wet and dry weather. Been using it for 2 years and its still good.

Ive got a pair of bt 010s on my hayabusa, and they kick ass, they have got about four thousand miles and lookin good, i had a pair of d207s on my gsxr, and they were really good at first, but wore rather quickly for my pocketbook, so, yeah the bridgestones are good tires,

I have used Pirelli Dragons but they don't last, alright grip not my favorite. Last set was Bridgestones 010s they are great but lasted 5000 Kms which generally is alright but my BT 020s are going on 13000 and they still have I think at least 6000kms left, if you are touring you have to go the BT020, the grip is not compromised at all die to the new silica compound.
