Missed a Good SRC Ride Today...

Crazy day, snow on the ground between Globe and the SRC, was a trip 2 see. Rick took some pics, hopefully he will post up some pics. Salt, Rocks, and some ocassionaly ice, but overall great road conditions. Had a rider go down, he is ok, bike was ok, rode home. Got nailed on the way home by MR. LEO. I guess you shouldn't pass a line of vehicles on a double-yellow at warp speeds, turns out an off-duty DPS officer was in the train of cars. Didn't get pulled over until Gold Canyon. The officer was very cool, gave us all written warnings.

By the way, I have gotten rid of my shakes after my wreck, had some good laps up there.

BTW, Rick's new bike is SICK!

Great ride indeed! There was a total of 14 bikes that showed up this morning. I'm glad to hear that you only got a warning Derek. We did the Winkelman/Kearny route and had no traffic and no LEO's. It seemed that it was cold from the pictures with snow in it but it got warm while riding laps through the canyon. I had to take some layers off. By the way Derek passed me in the turns I'd say his shakes are gone :D

Yeah, I would say the gitters from my wreck are far behind me now. I think I pulled some of my fastest laps yet.

I am also glad the three of us only got written warnings, I do not want to think of how expensive those tickets would have been.

damn lucky bastards, i got pulled over just before show low going 80 in a 65 and got a damn ticket which sucked because there was a car in front of me going faster and there was also a car directly behind me going the same speed.
