I'm getting a whole load of parts along with an engine. Its cheap enough that even if its seized I can still do a tear down and sell off the parts and still make money off of it. I'd rather have a working engine though. How can you tell if its seized? You can tell if the engine is in decent shape with a compression test, but can you tell if stuff still moves (valves, crankshaft, pistons, etc without a tear down? Like is there a way to manually crank the engine through its cycles and see if everything still moves?

yes on the right hand side of the motor there should be an access cap to get to the crank end so you can put a socket on it and turn it over by hand. you will notice it by the 10mm allen head spot in the cover http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
