:) Just would like to say yo to everyone. I'm NEW at all this forum stuff, but was lookin around and found this one. Thot I'd give it a try. Let me be forth commin. I just purchased my first bike in over 20 yrs. Now don't y'all go dissin me cause I didn't get a gixxer. I got an 06 Katana 600 in black. I'm kinda startin over and I didn't want to get in over my head. I got the Kat in Aug. 06 and really enjoy it so far. I think it handles great. I put a D&D custon can in the black carbon fiber on it and man does it sound sweet. I been readin some of the opinions out there and come to find out the old Kat ain't spoke to highly of. I also been doin some research and see why. The Kat is old school compared to the new bikes out there. I haven''t had the opportunity to ride a gixxer yet but I just can't imagine the power I've read and heard about. To me, the Kat 600 is pretty fast but like I said, I've not been on a bike in over 20yrs. Tell you the truth I'm thinkin bout selling the Kat this summer and gittin a gixxer 600. What do y'all think?? I just mainly ride to and from work, 46 mi round trip, and I take short rides now and then, under 50 miles. I don't plan on doin any race days and stunts, just like to ride and get on it some. Gotta be careful cause me and those bikes are really expensive to fix. I've blabbed enuf for now, will be in touch. Will be glad to here from some of you.:cheers
