I have a small electrical query.

When out for a run last with a fully charged 8 month old battery, I encountered a problem. With my lights on and engine running, when I stoped at junctions and let the revs drop to idle the bike stopped. No lights working. Trying to use the starter failed and I had to bump start the bike.

My question is, is this the reg/rectifier going pearshaped or something else?

Dave, have you cheked all connections as it sure sounds like the charging circuit is failing to recharge eithe due to a broken wire, (which is what happened to Craig at Brands GSXR day the other year) or the regulator is failing, maybe you could take it off and get it checked out locally perhaps? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
