How often do you guys change your oil,,,,mile wise 1000?,,,,,,2000?

Every 2,000 miles i try to change mine, i ride my bike hard. Usually though i will hit 2,000 miles and not have time to change it till close to 3,000. I would say 3,000 is a good change point, depending on how you ride that is.

I change mine every 2k too. but why do we do that?

The book suggests 6k... something tells me we are overdoing it.
