When I try to turn on my 1997 gsx-r750 sometimes it doesnt start. Usually to solve this problem, I open the hood up and look for the white connector which is supposed to control the fuel line? I unplug and replug it and it starts. Can someone tell me what the problem is? I do know the fuel is running rich cuz I can smell gas when it starts - I was told the problem might be because it is overjetted.
thanks in advance.

the white connector is a power connector.

Can I see the picture of the hood on your bike, that is amazing! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Just messing
Did you jet your bike yourself or something? If you don't know what you are doing you might go a reputible mechanic in your area and have them take a look at it.

my mechanic is in jail right now for running a chop shop - I am in the process of looking for another one. But I was hoping I could figure out what the problem was before going to the dealer.
The bike was jetted a few stages by the first owner, and the second owner jetted it down 2 stages.
