Sorry for coming into your forums, but I wanted to know what the majority of helmet sizes are for the ladies. I was gonna get a passenger helmet but am not sure if I should get a medium or a small. I suppose it would be a better idea to get a medium so it is a little bit bigger than too tight. Thanks for the help.

I would say small is going to be the best size, particularly for women. My first helmet was a medium and once it got broken in it got looser and then was too big. My new helmet is a small and fits much better. And I think it is safer to have a helmet that is a lil small rather than too large.

Is this a helmet you are always going to have with you? Or one you are going to store?

My helmet is a medium, it fits just slightly looser then when I got it. Which is what i was hoping for because it pinched my face pretty a little bit more than I liked. Now it is very comfy.
So I guess I am saying if you are going to buy the walmart special then buy a small.
if you are going to buy a good helmet, buy a medium. if you are truly that concerned by one of each.
I agree though, smaller is better than bigger. You don't want her head rolling around inside the helmet.

Anyways, this is a helmet that is going to be for passengers (females) and I plan on having this helmet for a while. My friend that works at the stealership tried on this medium (Icon Mainframe) and she said that it fits a tiny bit looser than her small that she owns. Her head isn't really flopping around in the thing. But it is snug inside the helmet. That being said, I asked all of my female friends that ride, and all of them said that they own a small, but it is tight. So I think that I would rather have a helmet that is a tiny bit loose for multiple people to use, and if there is one person that rides with me all the time, then I will get a helmet to their size. for me it all depends on the brand of helmet. I take a small in ICON but a Medium in HJC and a small in Suomy. what brand are looking at getting?

go with the small! mine was tight for the first few days but it fits real well now. not loose but not to tight!
