: reservoir bands
MotoMummy 11-06-2006, 11:13 PM These will be coming soon and i think you guys will like them as they will have our new logo on them...They will go for free with larger orders and then can also be purchased seperately. You guys liked the stickers, but this one will top those by far...have some samples coming then the 3000 reservoir band order will be placed :)
just a heads up...i hope you guys will like them
Bearsfirehawk 11-06-2006, 11:16 PM This thread is worthless without pics!! Do 2 sets of Pazzos and Chain Kit get me one? Did mine ship yet?
1SickGixSix 11-06-2006, 11:16 PM lets get some pics asap Corey

What the hell are those things for, anyway? All of a sudden I'm seeing them on every bike out there. I thought at first they were scrunchies to give girls for their hair before they got on the back. :)

MotoMummy 11-06-2006, 11:20 PM okay here are one of the prototypes :)
MotoMummy 11-06-2006, 11:20 PM it keeps the sunlight off the brake fluid in the reservoir and also if you crash or leak some it can help soak it up instead of getting it on the tank etc. sun degrades brake fluid so thise helps in that area :)
1SickGixSix 11-06-2006, 11:28 PM nice...i like em

Oh, that makes sense then. If I crash, I certainly don't want the paint peeling off my smashed and dented tank. :D

MotoMummy 11-06-2006, 11:41 PM well not just if you crash, it's mostly for the sunlight, but it also can help hold stuff in at times...i've tipped my bike a few years ago while standing still and jarred the reservoir loose and had a mess. didn't hit the tank since i had sliders installed. Like i said though, the main reason is to keep sunlight off the fluid

You should get them printed up with mummy bandage stripes all over them.

MotoMummy 11-07-2006, 12:13 AM well that's a lot more stitching involved. i'll take it into consideration though. I have 2 other prototypes i'm waiting on then i'll decide which i like best and do a large order. hopefully w/i 2 weeks i'll be ready to hand them out w/ larger orders
nhlspex 11-07-2006, 03:30 AM The prototype pics look pretty cool. Let us know when they're available Corey.
snoboardn42 11-07-2006, 10:31 AM What would be considered a "large" order? And will they be available for purchase by themselves? Thanks
MotoMummy 11-07-2006, 11:20 AM yes they will be for purchase by themselves and they should only run 5-10 dollars shipped. A large order i'm thinking 300-500 dollars or somewhere in that area. I still need to pick a band and put in the order and find out what my cost will be, but i'm sure i'll toss one in every order around the 300-500 area
IronGSXR35 11-07-2006, 01:58 PM I dont know Corey, i still kinda like the old logo "Mummy" better. Got any with that logo on it?....
MotoMummy 11-07-2006, 04:58 PM i'm looking at doing both in time :) So far this new gets us a ton of compliments so i'll probably do that one first, but the old one we'll also do up :) i hope to have 2-4 types of bands to be selling in time along with a full t-shirt line
DrBaker 11-07-2006, 06:38 PM I'll find a way to spend $300 to get one.
doc750 11-07-2006, 06:47 PM looks good!
bleacht 11-08-2006, 12:43 PM very cool idea. if you wanted to purchase one separately, would there be different colors to choose from?
MotoMummy 11-08-2006, 12:52 PM they are all going to be black bands...i'll look into diff color faces, etc. i won't do anything other than black bands or else it will get dirty and look nasty in time. black is definately the best color for the band. i am definately going to be looking into diff colors/models, etc. Just take a little time...I want to see if people like the first run first then i'll surely consider other colors/options
R1Budha 11-08-2006, 01:44 PM I think they look like ass.....
:D
:flipoff:flipoff:flipoff
(btw, mine better come in the mail as soon as they are available)
MotoMummy 11-08-2006, 02:13 PM get outa my thread you old man! go host some manuals or something :P
PunjiStick 11-09-2006, 01:19 AM I like the one in the pic you posted. Black is nice for those of us with black on our bikes. I'll buy one.
IronGSXR35 11-09-2006, 08:29 AM wont the black just draw the heat from the sun in just a little more than other colors? I have a white band on mine now and it has yet to get dirty, not much debris goes through my windscreen...
Avplayer 11-09-2006, 09:35 AM they look good..keep us posted....
MotoMummy 11-09-2006, 01:04 PM nah, it's not metal. it won't get that hot. LOL nothing like the heat your brakes produce and your fluid lives through that :) brake fluid is made for heat, just not direct sunlight.

Which is why the reservoirs are opaque in the first place, but don't let me get in the way of sales. :)

MotoMummy 11-09-2006, 05:50 PM um, sunlight still gets through most reservoirs bro...and sales? you really think i'm gonna make anything on these? That's why i'm going to be giving them out for free with orders lol
natedawg84 11-10-2006, 06:10 PM So when are these things gonna be available I want one. Btw I never got any stickers... Your lucky I like you corey :lol :lol
MotoMummy 11-10-2006, 07:35 PM i'm waiting on samples. i should have them this week and as for stickers i'm waiting on more of those also LOL hopefully not too much longer man...
GIXXERMO600 11-11-2006, 06:38 AM Corey-- bands are quite nice... count me in!
MotoMummy 11-11-2006, 02:02 PM i believe samples are headed my way now...hoping to see them this week and pick one then do the large order :) willtake pics of all the samples and let you guys see them.
trogers013 11-12-2006, 08:59 AM cant wait man im def in
greygti 11-12-2006, 09:28 AM I'll need one when my meatwad (<--) on wears out. I've had it on there for about 7 months and it's still good (I keep the bike in the garage).
slcbigboi 11-14-2006, 03:29 PM Which is why the reservoirs are opaque in the first place, but don't let me get in the way of sales. :)
KeS
opaque doesn't stop sunlight. If it did medicine bottles would simply be opaque. THey are that dark orange/brown color to stop sunlight. :flipoff
Edit: Corey I want... 6 please. (need two for my wrists)
MotoMummy 11-14-2006, 06:31 PM will do stone...
beck26 11-14-2006, 08:07 PM sweet keep up the good work Corey.
Demist 11-16-2006, 08:31 PM I'll need one when my meatwad (<--) on wears out. I've had it on there for about 7 months and it's still good (I keep the bike in the garage).
Meatwad rules!!! ATHF kills me everytime I watch it.
Anyways, i'm definetly in on one of the bands Corey I dig the look of them.
Gixxer-Boy-Brown 11-17-2006, 07:08 PM Last months edition of Super Bike Magazine included a res warmer/scruchie type thing.
i've put it on the bike and it looks cool.
Very handy when your missus forgets her hair band on arriving at the local bike meet on a sunday, oh and for preserving the life of your stopping fluid.
I'd like to get some for the flasher fluid but dont want 5 copies of super bike magazine cluttering up the coffee table. Any suggestions?
:)
MotoMummy 11-17-2006, 10:09 PM we don't have them for the flasher fluid, just for the brake fluid :) sorry...i should have some samples of these any day...
