need some feedback. i dropped my bike and broke the stock clutch lever now i want to upgrade to some pazzo levers but just not quite sure to go for the longs, shorts or combo levers? thanks...:cheers

MotoMummy
11-02-2006, 09:20 AM
about 1 out of 30 get longs, the rest get shorts. I would only recommend longs to people who like the looks, have bad hands, have an upgraded clutch so it's hard to pull in, or ride in a lot of rush hour traffic. For the rest shorts almost always leaves them a very happy camper :)

if you DON'T install them we can easily swap them out for another set as long as you cover shipping. this should help you make up your mind, because when you get them you'll be able to see how they fit in your hand w/o installing them. We also swap out adjuster colors for the same minimal fee. just cover shipping back to you.

Hey Corey,

I am considering upgrading mine, but was wondering if you happen to have a pic of the Blue Pazzo's on a blue / white 600? I looked on your site and couldnt seem to locate one. Or perhaps a fellow gixxer.com member has a photo to share.

what's the process to install them? is it simple and something i can do myself? or do you have to mess around w/cable play and stuff like that? thanks for the info.

BuzzinHornets
11-02-2006, 09:12 PM
I can get 4 fingers on the lever, although my pinky is on the very end. The install process could not be easier, took me about 15 min. tops.

beck26
11-02-2006, 09:30 PM
what do you have to do? any explanation at all? i'm not the best at installing stuff and don't want to mess anytning up.

MotoMummy
11-02-2006, 09:43 PM
you basically just take your old levers on, put these on (screw driver and socket normally is all it takes). then you adjust your cables if you have to. Many don't have to adjust anything and it takes about 10-15 minutes to install them.

Yet, to have anyone tell us it's a hard install. Less work then changing your oil in my opinion

beck26
11-02-2006, 09:45 PM

beck26

would the blue levers "short" look good on my bike? or at least match?

MotoMummy
11-02-2006, 09:49 PM
You can get the colored levers and if you DON'T install them we will swap them out if you just ship them back and pay for the new color to be shipped back to you. I only say that because when you get colored levers it's hard to say if the color will match your bike perfectly or to a point where you're happy, but for a minimal fee we'll swap them out for a diff color you want as long as you didn't install them.

The safest route? Buy black levers with a colored adjuster. There isn't enough color on the adjuster to really color match but they sure stand out nicely. If you get a colored lever then there is enough color there that you'll want it to match or be close.

I hope this helps you decide. Black lever w/ colored adjuster is the safe route, but if you want a colored lever and don't like it we'll swap it out as long as you don't install it for the smallest fee we can (you just pay shipping back to you on the new set).

Hope this helps. All are stocked and ready to go also

beck26
11-02-2006, 09:54 PM
thanks for the help i'm just trying to decide. may have to go w/black i guess if anyone else know's if they will match let me know. it's the blue/white 2004 600 the blue i saw on the site looked pretty light so if anyone has a pair of blue on the 04 let me know.

I've been back and forth on ordering these because I'm undecided on the color combonation. How well does the gold lever match the front fork (k6 GSX-R600) and the gold Giles rearsets? The lever to fork match is more important to me because I can always order black rearsets.

I really like the color combonation on the CRGs on the feature bike on your main page and that's what got me thinking about the gold lever.

MotoMummy
11-12-2006, 10:22 AM
anodizing is always different. every batch is slightly different. that feature bike now has pazzo's :) he didn't like the silver perches that crg had and he went to black levers. the pazzo perches all are black which looks cleaner.

I can't answer on the gold to be honest. IMO the black levers w/ a colored adjuster is the way to go because there isn't enough color on the adjuster to be able to see if they are different shades then other colord pats of the bike. If you get a colored lever then you can see if the shades don't match. Even crg's don't always match the gilles/rims/etc...

Sorry I can't give you a perfect answer, but there is no way to when it comes to anodizing and shades of it. It's not like paint with color codes :(

imo the black levers w/ coloread adjusters is the way to go...no matter what you get though I can tell you that we've never had anyone regret the mod. So far everyone seems extremely happy with them

I was leaning that way. I'll probably order some this week. Now I just got to decide, black with gold adjusters or black with red adjusters. :D

MotoMummy
11-12-2006, 11:15 PM
both combo's are awesome and if you want a diff color adjuster for 10.00 we'll swap them out and ship it back to you...that helps some people's thoughts as they know they won't get stuck with a big fee if they get them and wanted a diff color adjuster.

1SickGixSix

Corey,

I've had my eyes on these for a while now but still can't decide whether to get both shorties or a shorty brake and long clutch.

I've read through most of these posts and in the summers I commute into the city on my bike a couple times a week. I usually hit traffic, sometimes heavy once I get close and the same thing leaving. Once i'm out I can float home. So basically i'm stuck in traffic for a least a part of my trip each day, would having the shotry clutch make my fingers feel like they are going fall off since most likely i'm going to be using it a lot once I get in town, or do you think I would be okay with both shorties?

Thanks in advance

MotoMummy
11-15-2006, 09:59 PM
if you're in rush hour traffic i would get the short/long combo. if you later want to go to a shortie we are gonna be offering a deal to sell parts and put them on :) for cheap

Demist
11-16-2006, 05:48 AM
sounds good..........i'll most likely end up going with the combo then as that's what i've been leaning towards. Thanks again man, I appreciate it

Just ended up ordering these tonight after I got off work, ended up going with the shortie brake and long clutch due to fact I get stuck in shitty traffic pretty often in the summers commuting out of the city after work.

These should look kick ass on my bike once I get them on.

Thanks again Motomummy :cheers

Anybody got any pics of the blue ... long or short it doesn't matter? I have a 06 blue/white 600 and am debating on black with blue adjusters or blue levers with black adjusters. I checked the site but didnt see any pics of the blue.

MotoMummy
11-16-2006, 10:05 PM
brianinms: black w/ blue is the way to go. the black and red are now darker then they use to be and i'm 99.9% sure it won't match or be close. the gold is now awesome though. like ohlins, marchesini gold, carrozzeria, and gilles. AWESOME finish on the gold, but the red/blue are now darker by a good bit.

black w/ blue would be my suggestions, but for those contemplating gold it's now INCREDIBLE...use to have a slight yellow tint, but it's incredible now. anyone who has recieved gold in the last few weeks will know what i mean.

the anodizing changed a little a few weeks ago in an effort to get a little clearer gold and i'm not sure on why the blue/red are a tad darker, but i'll find out.

hope this info helps, just to make sure everyone is happy and likes their choices...btw if anyone has gold in the last few weeks pls post up a pic or two

Well I got the new levers installed tonight after work and they didn't take long at all, under 30 minutes total after I got everything adjusted the way I liked it.

Putting the brake on was a cinch, the clutch wasn't hard either just remember to loosen the clutch cable or you'll have a harder time getting the cable free from the clutch lever prior to removing it from the bike. Overall these look great on my bike. Here's some pics for your enjoyment of the Red/Black Short Brake Long Clutch :cheers

Which front stand did you end up getting? Is that DMP? How did my technique work for getting your bike on the rear stand?

Demist
11-21-2006, 07:34 PM
Thanks, I can't get over how much I like the red too. It matches up with the maroon color of my 750 almost perfectly.

I ended up going with the DMP S-Spec Front and Rear Stands but unfortunately i'm still having some problems getting the bike up on the rear without someone giving me a hand. I've tried placing some wood under the kick stand to balance the bike, holding the rear (after taking the rear seat off), but the bike tends to wobble a bit when i get ready to put it up on the rear and I get nervous that i'm gonna drop it.

It's up on the stands for the winter (unless I get some more carbon parts that forces me to take it down :) but I'm sure i'll give it another try coming up here.

Anyways, the gold on black looks decent, plus it matches your bike perfect. :cheers

open it with photoshop and then choose image size and it will show you the resolution etc...yes you are the first to get 300dpi...i have a feeling your pic willbe used in a magazine if that's okay with you. For print you have to have very high quality images or else it looks blurry. You basically need a high end camera to do it and i haven't bought on yet, but soon I will be. we only can do the coupons before the order based on how the system is setup, but if you email us we can toss in a reservoir stock. it doesn't fully make up for the coupon, but it's close and we can do that. the coupons are attached to our accounting/database as it's all automated. shoot us an email so we know who you are and i'll make sure you get a resevoir sock to help make up for it :)

What are the pros and cons of long or short levers?

Surely short ones require more effort to pull due to the leverage?

What shall i go for? :confused

MotoMummy
12-30-2006, 04:36 PM
the shorties take a little more effort, but not much. all pazzo's are slightly easier than stock levers due to the changed fulcrum point.

the shorties do outsell the longs about 30 to 1.

if you don't like them and have NOT installed them we will take them back and waver the restocking fee. you just pay for shipping to return the different set to you. this way you can order them and if you don't like them and haven't installed them we'll swap them out for different color/size for a very minimal fee. 5.0 to ship back to you.

Not sure if this is the wrong place for this but I have tried everything I can think of. I placed an order on the 23rd of dec. and on the 27th I was told the part was not in for whatever reasons and that was cool. I've sent in sever al emails since on the 4th and the 5th and neither has been replied to and no updates on the status has been made to me what so ever. All I want to know is what is the status and if I can't get the part I ordered can I get a refund of my money that was taken from my account the day I ordered. Not trying to slam Moto mummy cause I have recieved good service but this one is starting to make me look for other sites to order from. At this point I just want to know what's going on?

MotoMummy

i'm assuming you haven't checked your spam box as every email has been responded to up until fri when we were out of hte office. we just got back in town. our voice mail even says fri we were gone and through the weekend. all emails until then were responded to.

we were out of gold adjusters and perches for older suzuki's right after christmas, but all has been shipped out. EVERY set of pazzo's have been shipped at this point. have you tried calling, a pm to me, or check your spam box? Most likely when people don't get a response from us it's because our response was put in their spam box or it was filtered from their email.

ALL pazzo's have shipped, but i can't get you any info w/o a name or order number, then i can check the tracking. next time just pm us as we respond very quickly. that or check you filters and make sure we are on a safe list or what not. Get me that info and i'll get back to you with tracking tomorrow.

i hope a response this fast on a sunday works for you :) we just got back in town a few hours ago. anything i can do just pm me

Sorry my order number is 3300 and my emails from the 4 and the 5th have not been answered. They came from waltlove. They were for the Pig spotter mirror's but there was no forum for them so I couldn't post a reply.

MotoMummy
01-08-2007, 10:00 AM
i emailed you back on the pig spotters. I remember it since it isn't a very popular item. the distributor wasn't shipping from christmas to new years and we haven't recieved them yet. Should be in any day. We don't stock them as they are not a popular item with suzuki's. should be in anyday, normally we get them in 2-3 days, but we don't stock them as it's a slower moving item.

Just to chime in, I got these Levers last week for my B-day, and have not put them on yet but just looking at them and holding them in my hands they are an incredibly solid product. does anyone know th best way to remove th adjusters are they just secure w/ screw + loctite also i am gonna remove it to bleach test it and possibly fade th deep red as i want a much lighter red

MotoMummy
02-05-2007, 04:27 PM
you need a special tool or you will scratch it up bad. btw if you install it wrong on the inside you can damage the parts...

jdc04e
02-05-2007, 05:34 PM
they are installed an fine but i wanted to take off just th adjusters so where can i get th tools as i started w/ a hex an socket but stopped cuz it felt like i was gonna mess it up

MotoMummy
02-05-2007, 06:07 PM
you can't get the tools they are machined by the makers. for liability reasons you will not get help opening them up from anyone. if you want a different color adjust we can service them for you, but you can't get the tools as they are custom cnc machined tools. also there are some VERY small parts in there. if you lose them your levers can't be used. If you open them up you're on your own basically...if you want a different color we swap them out for free, you just have to cover shipping back to you. last person that opened them up lost some internal parts and had to buy another set. Another guy couldn't get them put back together and had to send them to us and pay extra to have them assembled. we do lots of work for free, but if someone opens them up and sends us parts we do charge the customer out of principle because the parts aren't to be opened for safety reasons. I hope you understand. Trust me it's not as easy you would think.

jdc04e
02-05-2007, 06:17 PM
ok well im glad i decided not to F w/ it idk if this will change your policy but i have installed th levers can u still exchange them also the only reason i would exchange is for a lghter shade of red adjusters which im not sure you'll have i know anodizing them makes some come out a shade or too off which is why i was wondering u had any that came out in a light shade as mine are a dark maroon btw MOTOMUMMY kickass i ordered them from them under aweek ago an have been given prompt customer service preorder during shipping and as u can see after delivery

MotoMummy
02-05-2007, 06:53 PM
we don't have any lighter ones at this time :( all the red ones are coming out a slightly darker red. on the good side the gold is now more of an ohlins gold.

i'm not sure how to make them a lighter shade of red though. if you want to buy a set of red adjusters off us i can do that then you can make them the color you want and when you're ready to have them put on the levers just send us the extra adjusters (color you want) and the levers back and we'll swap them out and turn them around toward you the same day we get them.

let me know...i just would not recommend opening them up yourself. took us a while to learn all the tricks and we even lost some parts in the learning process. it's not hard, but there are some tiny parts for sure and a special tool is definately needed. pazzo cnc machines a tool so that you can make it do what we need it to.

anyway, let me know as i'm willing to work with you on getting them to the color you want. i could even get you bare adjusters and let you anodize them then send it all back to us and we'll swap it out for you?

jdc04e
02-05-2007, 07:02 PM
ok i read somewhere about anodizing but i dont really want to do a whole setup for two small adjusters i will send u a PM when i find a place and we can do a swap

Received and installed my pazzos yesterday. worth every penny :D. people have mentioned that there is supposed to be some play on the clutch lever...well my pazzo clutch has a bit of play, but not as much as the stock lever. is this normal or do i need to go back and do more adjustments?

MotoMummy
02-09-2007, 10:10 AM
depending on your bike you might have had to use the oem bushing out of the clutch lever and put it into the pazzo perch. other than that there should be very little play if any at all.

IgNiTe600
02-09-2007, 12:11 PM
yeah i remembered a post about that bushing, so i made sure i placed it in the pazzo lever

MotoMummy

contact pazzo directly then if you think something is off, but it should feel firm. At least as firm as your oem if not better. if there is anything i can do let me know, but it sounds like you installed it correctly.

If a guy was to go shorty on the brake side, would he also go shorty on the clutch side, or are most people sticking with a full size clutch lever?

jdc04e
02-09-2007, 11:45 PM
i went shorty both sides and th brake took more getting use to but it looks so good when theyre both short plus i like th feel of smaller levers it frees up th controls i mean its still possible to get a whole hand over th lever but u wont ever need to if u adjust it properly which is th benefit of these levers

MotoMummy
02-10-2007, 09:55 AM
nearly everyone buys both shorties. both shorties are what 27 out of 30 people get. out of the other 3 one gets both longs and the other 2 people get shortie brake and long clutch. that is what our stats program is telling us. both shorties are by far the most popular. some say it takes time to get use to, but very few people end up wanting a long clutch. just takes time to get use to it. kind of like switching your shift pattern to reverse/gp shifting.

Any comments on the blue levers? Wanna buy a set for my '02 blue/white 600, but not sure if I should go with the blue, or stick with the silver.

hard to say. i would say the pazzo's are a darker blue. silver might be a better bet if you ask me.

Thanks for the response. I think I'm gonna go with the blue with the silver adjuster.

How long to ship to Ontario, Canada. My buddy and I just ordered two pairs for my gixxer and his Daytona 675. He told me 3 weeks, but I'm thinkin thats just so he can wait to give it to me for my birthday. It wouldn't take three weeks, would it?

Yeah I suppose it would be hard to have only 1 position. I prefer them fully extended. Just a thought.:cheers

All the time. You get used to it quickly. I use 3 fingers on it because it's a tad long for just 2.:cheers

yeah how many prefer the shorty pazzo's compared to the regular? I know that with the long stock clutch lever I can't pull it in with 2-3 fingers because it won't fully engage because my fingers are in the way. I have really big and long fingers so im thinking about getting the shortys :)

She is a little dirty, but it was either install new parts or wash her. Hope I picked the right choice.

Just wanted to see if you have the black long levers w/red adjusters in stock for the K7 1K before I order? If they're on hand I'll be ordering them and the diamond grips tomorrow. BTW, are you a U.S. distributor for R&G Racing products? I bought frame/fork/swingarm sliders and barends from them direct for my 04 Aprilia RSVR but if I can get the barends for the K7 1K from you I'd rather do that. And one last item that I didn't see on your site, do you have the Galfer SS clutch lines? Maybe I'm just retarded and didn't look in the right place:confused :wacko Thanks and I can't wait to place my order.

Do I get a tracking number?

we ship priority mail with confirmation numbers. You'll be able to see it via order tracking, but i don't see why it wouldn't ship out on monday :D Only screens backordered through both distributors are the dark smoke 06 gsxr 600/750 screens. We sold our last ones today and there is no way to get restocked right now. We stock a ton, but when the distributors are out for weeks then it makes it hard to get restocked. other then that screen i think everything else in stock (going off the top of my head since i'm at home).

You'll be able to see if you order shipped by logging into the order tracking monday afternoon and it should state "completed" when shipped.
