I have a gas-powered remote control HPI racer. I was wondering If anyone else picked up on this fun hobby. I have a total of Three bodies (Dodge Stratus,Saleen Mustang, Lexus GS-400) all custom painted by yours truly. thinking on putting in a Navarossi motor with a 2 speed Transmission, some headers. Dont tell me in the only big ass kid at the heart......hehehehe Once you drive one of these babies Radio Shack will be like nothing to ya

They are too slow and too forgiving. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I prefer the RC planes. I have been flying for the past 2 years and have flown off water last summer for the first time. Pretty cool. Unlike cars in a plane you can't just pull over if you want to take a break or the engine quits.

So no you are not the biggest geek in here. That would be me. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/squid.gif

Well I collect toys and what not. I haven't met anyone in the area that has more of a vast collection of 80's toys then me. I still actively collect Transformers. But I have all the stuff from when I was a kid including He-Man, MASK, GI Joe, etc....you name it, I might have a piece of it in my collection somewhere. I even have a Toys R Us gold card http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Just now as I have gotten older, my toys have gotten bigger and expensive http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

what do you mean they are to slow? hehehehehe there is not another type of remote control car that can keep up with these. Nothing out of Radio Shack, or Toy's R Us can run with them. I like the planes too but its less money spending when you crack a car than the plane or helicopter. Them shits get totaled when hitting the ground. And if you cant swim (like me) if my boat runs out of gas im shit out of luck...........LMAO there is a huge parking lot down the Cape where I run mines. No rocks or bumps very nice and smooth.

But i should be picking 1 up soon for my birfday (which is in October), so i will have plenty of time to decide which 1 I want!! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I've been in to RC models for about 7 years now. All together I now have 6 planes, one Traxxis Nitro Buggy, and a sweet nitro speed boat. The planes are by far the most fun and toughest to control. Next to riding the GSX-R, the second biggest rush is flying a $600 plane 70 miles an hour, inverted, 3 feet off of the ground. Getting started in the hobby is the most expensive part. Once you get going it's not so bad. I haven't flown too much in the past two years. If it is nice enough to fly then it is nice enough to ride.

I picked up the new Traxxas Nitro truck they came out with. It is my first and i really bought it to mees around with in my yard with my son. It seems to move pretty good and seems fun I hope I didnt over pay for it cause it seem like this sport can get expensive.
