finally managed to get the front wheel up on me 600. tried rolling on the power a couple of times. was a bit scary so finally learnt how to clucth it . been getting it up abt 6-7nches in the past few days.
finally got some guts and gave it a bit more throttle today . front came up abt 3 feet . a bit scary but a lotta fun

my 1st wheelie was over at a mates and me giving into a bit of peer pressure and showing off.. went up the street, came back down it (1st time id bin full throttle on the new bike) i had the rear brake covered, but it didnt feel light or anything.. so i moved my foot away from the brake.. little did i know that i get a big jump in power at 10g, the front jumped about 2 ft in the air n scared the shit outta me n i slamed it back down.. ive gotten used to them since but still cant hold a wheelie much..

i cant stop doing them now . pretty much whenever i end up in a back street ,try and pop em all the time. bike prolly isnt loving it . i am tho :) . everyone ive told thinks im on a one way ticket to suicide.
it dosent feel all that wierd now just insane amounts of fun

Thats the thing right there. If you just keep doing those little one's over and over again, before you know it, and without thinking about it, you'll be doing niced controlled wheelies. There's no magic way to get them high and long other then being used to what the bike feels like doing those things, and the only way to do that safely is repetition within in your comfort zone.

i thought i was a goner the other day. i had powered it up in second and the cars came up a bit to quick as i was going over 100kph, somehow i tapped the front brake and it locked up momentarily on the landing, thus that caused a massive tank slapper and i swear i could feel the back rear bunny hop a bit, thats my scariest moment besides going thru a T intersection not being able to stop in time and pulling up a foot within the gutter. i didnt think it would pull up but somehow did.
i cant clutch it, only tried once and didnt work so i just use power.

i tried doin power monos at the staart . bike gets too fast too quick. gets pretty scary but once u get the hang of clutching it up its a lot more controlled . u can bring it up at the lower end of the powerband without ne worries. i learnt a fair bit from this video check it out.

i remember losing my mono virginity about 12 years ago on an XV750 out the front of Summernats. one of the scariest moments of my life. i've never gotten sick of them. tho the adrenalin rush isnt quite as intense as that first near-disaster. lol!
