Anybody.. SVS? do you guys have 400's over there?
Bare frame with motor and paperwork?
I would settle for a motor with CDI box.
Hell, I would even be interested in a set of cylinders, pistons and heads...

I don't think the SV 400's are available in the USA. I think only in Japan!

I didn't know they existed.
I bought my son the "riding spirits" game for PS2 and it has a red SV400S just like my 650 and I was like. hey that's not right. It is kind of cool since it looks exactly like my red 01 SV650s though.
Well, it looks like this:

Looks like bodywork and other things are interchangable, just smaller engine (and maybe frame).
I think it has something to do with japanese insurance or license laws, as many other bikes are also made in 400 (GSXR, Bandit, etc.)

plannin' on tearing up the 450SB scene? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
i wish i could get 1. actually i wouldn't mind any of the jpn 400's here. if only they'd sell em legally here instead of that grey market BS. better than having http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/squid.gif start on 600's cause you know the 250 ninja's aren't poserific

Wasn't the original SV650 created by boring the SV400 engine?

Don't think so - the cylinders look smaller on the outside on the 400. But I believe the two engines share a lot of minor parts.

A lot of the 600's are sleeved down to make 400cc for the Japanese domestic market..
