Hey i got a 2000 gsxr 600 and i cant and dont have money to go to a dyno but my bike really needs some tuning! How can i do this?
I have a kn filter, hmf slip on, Carbs got ?needles, 130/132 mains
Is there a sensor or somthing or can somone with this bike tell me how there carbs are set??? Any help would be great thanks
Start off with a simple carb sync - that can make a huge difference if it hasn't been done recently :D Just need a set of vacuum gauges for that

Sorry i have done the valves, carb sync and cleaned them up 2x but i still dont think it runs that great!
A LOT of small stuff can make a bike feel good again. Simple stuff like replacing cush drive, lube on ALL operating cables, carb linkages checked and tightened, adjusted clutch play, steering head bearings etc etc. If your looking for a little more from the 6, and know what your doing - try some larger main jets, but pending on your riding style - that might screw up your mixture. Ask your closest bike shop if they own a air / fuel metre-called a llambd sensor - this can monitor your air/fuel ration adn tell you where your off thru a range. They are usually used on a dyno - but some are portable and can be downloaded after a short ride.....Cheers Si.
