how do i find out the number of teeth on my stock sprockets i was going to go -1 front +2 rear. How much top end will i lose ( i hit 182 redline in sixth.)

what year and model bike? an 04 600 was 16/45.

You can either count them by marking one as your start point, or clean the sprocket and see the number stamped on it...

In that case a standard 1k2 has 42T rear and 17T front - well in the UK it does :cheers

Best to go to a 44T rear and 16T front....

17/42 is the number. Have you considered just going -1 in the front. It will be a lot like going +2 in the rear and you won't sacrifice too much top end.

I had an 04 600 that I went -1/+2 and I lost about 25 mph off of top end.

The Stock k2 GSXR 600 has 16T front sprocket and 45T rear Sprocket.

if your still running the stock chain and sprocket and are going to a 520 kit the teeth are not going to be the some anyway. there is a conversion table that you have to use and then you and change it from there.

When ordering the 520 kit from Motomummy.com and it asks for "Front tooth count" and "Rear tooth count," is it asking for the count that you want or the count of what your bike currently is?

I realize this is a dumb question, I just dont want to spend $200 I will have to wait twice as long to enjoy. LoL
