Jimmy 2 Times 08-11-2006, 12:52 PM before the season even starts, we are gonna post up our predicitions

NFL Champions = Carolina Panthers
MVP = A HEALTHY Deshaun Foster
LiuKang 08-15-2006, 09:23 AM Miami vs. Seattle
Ronnie Brown is gonna be a stud in Miami, and now with a decent QB and a defence that is still top notch, I can see them coming out of the AFC.
Seattle, while losing Hutchison was a big blow, they still have the best tackle in the game in Jones... lots of room for Alexander on the left side of the field. Combine that with a young, hungry defence (anchored by Tatupu) and a receiving corps that can FINALLY hold onto the ball, and Seattle is looking great again this year. They were robbed in the super bowl last year, and are looking to get the title they deserve.

Ronnie Brown is gonna be a stud in Miami, and now with a decent QB and a defence that is still top notch, I can see them coming out of the AFC.
Liu,
I like the way you think my man. I am a Dolphins fan and think that they have a good shot at making the playoffs this year at the very least. I was not too happy about Culpepper coming down to Miami at first, but I have definitely changed my mind after seeing how fit he looks and seeing him play in the preseason. If Ronnie can man up and Chambers and Culpepper hook up like I suspect they will...they could have the home field advantage at the big Dance.
Jimmy 2 Times 09-07-2006, 12:22 PM miami.......home field advantage :wtf
that is almost as funny as my predictions :lol
TonyD(061K) 09-07-2006, 12:35 PM Well I think tonight will be a good indication of what Miami is made of this year. First time in a long time that Miami has somewhat of an easy schedule, so that should help as well.
I suppose in the end we will see who's crystal ball works best on GDC.
Jimmy 2 Times 09-07-2006, 12:45 PM you think they have an easy schedule?
they play NE twice, Indy, Jax, CHicago. Those are gonna be some tough games

TonyD(061K) 09-07-2006, 12:59 PM Jimmy,
I wouldnt say its easy, but compared to the rest of the league they are near the bottom of the list as far as strength of schedule is concerned. See my Dolphins down near the bottom of that list? Of course these things are based on previous year stats but hey, its been a long time for Miami and I will take what I can get.
Cincinnati Bengals (.543)
New York Giants (.543)
New Orleans Saints (.539)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (.539)

Really? Because they are the defending Super Bowl Champs who returned most of their key players. You don't win a title on the shoulders of a QB alone and I would say that Pitt is just as dangerous w/Ben as they are w/o him. Their defense is very underrated and they proved that once again Monday night. If you're gonna bet against them you better have a good reason and a sub par team with an aging QB (yeah, I said it.. he's lost a step every season and what makes this season different) and Chambers won't be the back fish fans had hoped for. I hate to say it but this looks like another dismal season for the Dolphins. I think they'll be lucky to win six this season.

MY FREEDOM OF SPEECH LOL
That thing u call Football, is not even a real sport “hence not in Olympic games!” It’s just another way corporative US can shove adverts towards the US public. Not to mention u call a sport football, then use ur hands "Duhhhhhhhhhhhh...!"
The reason REAL football isn’t big in US is because it has 2x45mins of pure sport and Athletics with only one break (one commercial break).
Were-as that bottyboy-rugby in padding u call "football" stops for coffee and donuts every 10seconds so the players don’t actually break a sweat and they can fill ur heads with promotions and ads. Lets go to a commercial break!!! Or a word from our sponsor :wacko
As well I find funny how three of the most important things in your superbowl are 1) the half time show. 2) Advertisements 3) who sings! ??) What about the actual match? Would anyone watch the sport if u never had cheerleaders... halftime shows... mascots... and all the other hype such as theme tunes and flashing lights?
Yet most hilarious is the way clubs/teams move from city to city every couple of years “to make more $$$” and you wonder why it’s only the US that plays this "football/grid iron" u call a sport. Or even more funny how your woman kick your arse at the proper game! lol
However the world misses out because we don’t see America’s potential, Football IS the biggest sport in the world, with billions of supporters. And if the USA wasn’t so capitalist, and gave Football the advertisement and publicity it deserved, there is no doubt in my mind America would do very well and become one of the best teams in the world.
However sport comes second in the US, $$$ comes first. And Football is 90mins of Sport not ads.
<FREEDOM OF SPEECH END>
Shame this forum wasnt about Football. But have fun in ur Lycra Tights lads :biggrin
It's not an Olympic sport because we would dominate the world. Baseball was an Olympic sport for quite some time yet I won't call it one. Curling is STILL an Olympic sport and I think you'll be hard pressed to find more than 15 people in the world that say that's a sport. So, if the Olympics is your standard for what constitutes a sport and what real men do then you're WAY off base.
Your an idiot. I DVR most the games I watch and fast forward through all the commercials and ESPECIALLY the half time show. Cheerleaders? You might like to know that only about half of the NFL teams actually have a cheerleader squad and before too much longer that number will be even lower. Guys don't tune in to watch T&A (that's what the internet is for) instead they tune in for a real man's sport. Let's see your real hard core soccer players play their sport in the bitter cold, snow, rain or even a stiff breeze for that matter. C'mon man.
Mascots? I watch EVERY football game that's on TV and I don't even recall the last time I saw a mascot during an NFL game. If they're still being shown in TV then I must not see them.
Theme songs and flashing lights? Man, someone is bitter that the theme song for their oh so manly sport was a song by butch Ricky Martin called Cup of Life.
Moving cities? The last team to change cities was the Saints and as you might recall it took a pretty horrific act of nature to get them to move and even now they're back playing at home in N.O. and inspiring an entire city to rebuild and be strong. Other than that, teams don't move every few years. Most teams are where they began and occasionally they move for one reason or another but they also add expansion teams and most of the times they go to an area where a team once existed.
A woman would kick my arse at the proper sport? What the fuck are you talking about?
Bottom line is this section IS about football. The NFL. The real FOOTBALL. I and a few others did what it is Americans do and made our voice heard and got this forum to exist. If you English had half a fucking raisin sack you would have your little soccer forum by now and would leave us the fuck alone. Instead, you do what it is you always do... stand on the outside looking in and whining about all the things we have that you wish you had and tell us how horrible we all are for having them while you enjoy your lovely spot of tea and crumpets. Pick up your skirt, grab your coin purse and make an effort to get your precious soccer forum so you can leave us the fuck alone. Since soccer is so popular, it should be pretty easy to get support, right? Oh, that's right, everyone who supports it is a bunch of pansy ass pussies that expect America to do everything for them so we won't see a soccer forum any time this week ...will we? That would involve you stopping your whining long enough to get something done yourself. But you won't so that won't happen so get the fuck out of our football forum.
I say that jokingly but seriously... get the fuck out.
Fuckin n00bs.
