Last week I got a shiny, and yes brand new, '06 SV650S. The thing is absolutely beautiful. And lucky me, I have a couple of neighbors who are retired club racers! One of them went for a ride with me Sunday. About 140 miles, and I am even more in love with my bike than I was when I loaded it in the back of my truck.
No pictures yet, but I'm working on it!
Just wanted to throw my own 'Finally' in the mix!

Congrats on your bike. I have to say, I really respect the fact that you went the SV route and didn't opt for the K6 600. It takes a lot of maturity to get a bike according to skill level and not about how "cool" it makes you look. You are wise beyond your years grasshoppa. :thumbup

Yeah, that whole being able to put both feet on the ground at the same time is pretty cool! :biggrin
Thanks!

Skill level. You should see how fast some of these SV650 move around, Winning Expert last WERA race did 1:13 on a 2 mile track on a 650.
But yes they are easier to learn on. Almost all twins are as they are easier to ride down low in the RPM and not quite as high strung.
Congrats on the new bike.
