Hey girls!!! Well did i have quite the surprise last weekend!!! I was at Dorney Park (Allentown, PA) for the day w/my friend and when i got home my boyfriend surprised me w/my own bike!!! He got me a 2004 GSXR 600 for my birthday!!! It is awesome! Has just a few scratches (which is fine w/me incase i drop it until i am a little more comfortable) but nothing major. He did buy me new plastics so we are just waiting for them to come in. It was the most unexpected awesome surprise! I've been wanting my own for at least 3 yrs, but wasn't able to save hardly anthing...us girls, we have to shop! I've had my motorcycle license for 2 1/2 years, but no bike...just rode his last bike (03 gsxr 1k) around the block, but that was short lived due to a truck pulling out infront of him and totalling the bike. He has an 06 gsxr 1k since april that I've permanently been bitch on...haha! I love to ride and have always rode w/him and the guy's for the last 3 yrs. So, now I am finally on my own...taking it slow for now until i get more comfortable..still not as relaxed as i should be...but that's ok practice makes perfect! If any of you girls are near Reading, PA (near Philadelphia) pm me and we can ride together! See ya around!:banana

No, it's not offered by the state, you have to pay to take the course, you can google msf course in your area. After completion they'll provide you a small card, you can bring it to your insurance company, your insurance rate will going down!;)

:D I used to live in PA, I took that course several years ago. Probably one of the few states that offer it for free. Not really free, paid for by your local moto shop and the huge moto companies. Most people end up buying anyways.

Careful when tooling around in Phila. It was rough riding when I lived there. Lotsa @#$@# cagers that drive like @#$@$.:eek :cheers

that's cool. i'm new on this site, but i've rode dirtbikes for years and i bought my first bike (r6) when i turned 18, then not too far later upgraded to the 1k. i'ts an awesome feeling riding and lots of guys think that girls can't ride, but it's nice to see more and more girls are riding the bikes and not riding bitch, while teaching those boy's a lesson!
