hey laydies and ungentlemen, ive got a 96 srad 750, and the carbs are rooted, so i went lookin for some aftermarket ones, i want keihins but there way outta my budget.

anyway, i found a guy not far from me that sells mikuni rs smoothbores.. and im just wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with them? and how hard would it be to do the swap myself?

also, any hints on a basic set up to get her up n running straight up? and then ill fine tune from there...

the site is http://www.mikunioz.com/rs_kits.htm thats the place im buying them from...

any help?

Me personally i like Keihns over Mikunis, Mikunis you just about have to mess with them alot, like rejetting them, Keihns you can bolt these bad boys up straight out of the box on to your bike with just a little tuning and off your riding again, and the Keihns make more HP over any Mikunis any day, i know Keihns cost more but if you can find some used and in good shape for a good price get them you will not be dissapointed

i would love to get the keihins, but ive heard bad things about them, ive also heard bad things about the mikuni's. also good things about both, some ppl have said the mikuni's are hard to tune n shit, other ppl say there easy and the keihins are hard, but i cant find anyone that even sells keihins in AUS let alone second hand ones.. and i dont like buying second hand parts like carbs. u never know what the owner has done to them.. and if there sellin them for some reason, i dont want em... and i dont see how the keihins can make so much more power when there the same design.. and i just cant justify spending $2500 aus on a set of carbs.. this is my daily transport, not a race bike, and from every thing ive read, the keihins are for ppl that are chasing big power, which im not atm, thats what the 7/10 conversion and super charger is gona be for a bit further down the track.. sorry, i tend to ramble a bit lol. i dont think im gona be dissapointed with the mikuni's either for what i want.. but thanks for the reply, do u know how hard it will be to do the swap? due to budget, i have to use the stock cables n shit...
