: Educate my wife on breast enhancement...

Hey ladies,

I was hoping you girls could help educate my wife and I regarding breast enhancement surgery. We've been married a month, and she recently told me that this is something she's wanted to do for a couple of years now. It's really the only "insecurity" she feels. I'm 26, she's 21, and I truly love her more than life itself. I've really seen on this site how surgeries like this can improve quality of life of women. I'm thinning a bit on top, so we've talked about getting surgery to fix that for me, and bigger boobs for her. My wife is a large B cup, possibly small C, and just wants them to be perkier and a bit larger (a large C, or small D). She is 5'4", about 120 lbs, in good shape.

Are there websites that can better illustrate what each size looks like? And/or links to posts on gixxer.com showing before/after?

We aren't planning to have kids for 5-7 years from now, should we wait?

How do we find a reputable doctor, so they don't look bad?

What other issues should we be discussing?

Thanks in advance for your help, I wouldn't trust anyone else to help us with this. Especially not after the pics you all have posted!:yumyum:D

uh.. my wife is a small B and thats after 3 kids.

she's 5'7" 125 too.

boobs don't solve it - and cutting your self up when your already perfectly good looking isn't the smart thing to do.

her measurements are more than acceptable as to being a complete woman.

My wife got breast augmentation two months ago. I said everything I could think of to talk her out of it, but nothing budged her descision. She is 28 and we have three kids(two of them are from her previous marriage), so you could image the toll it's taken on her breasts. She got a donut lift with implants. She went from a saggy A to a large C/ small D with a 390cc implant. Every 200cc's is one cup size. It actually turned out better than I expected. She could have used a little more lift but she did not want the vertical scar(lollipop scar). She may go back in some time down the road to get another small lift.

I was thinking I wanted one more baby within the next few years, but she will not be able to breast feed unless we wanted to throw $$$$ down the drain as breasts grow up to 2 cup sizes when breast feeding, ruining the work she had done.

We went and had 3 consultations and I picked apart each doctor based on numbers web sites i gathered information from. We went with the doctor who seemed to be the most honest, most experienced(25 years), and who actually happend to be the cheapest. ($7500). On top of that, since she needed a lift, he was the only one to mention the donut lift vs the regular lift that results in an unsightly lollipop scar. He was also the only one of the three that said NOT to get a tummy tuck. The other two doctors seemed to be very unethical and tried to squeeze every penny out of us. It was quite scary.

So with that said, there is probably nothing you can do if you wanted to stop her, but she should consider waiting until after you guys have kids, because it's probably going to take another surgery after she is done breast feeding to perk them back up, which will result in more scaring and money spent. Implants don't last forever either, so expect to dish out money for 1-2 more surgeries through out her life as well.

Oh and by the way. She said if she knew it would be so painfull she would have never, ever done it. Other than that, she is pleased. Oh, and I might add, she looks so friggin hot in a bikini and tight shirts now.

the other moral of this story is, lots of women who get augmentation go and bang some hot young stud on the side afterwards so beware.

quile: Thanks for the constructive answer. I'm VERY in love with my wife, and would continue to love her without the surgery. It's just something that has proven to be an insecurity for her, and I will support her no matter what decision she makes. I'll show her your post so she can hear from a real person what it's like. I'm more concerned with finding a good doctor too.

iluvdagxr: I know all the stereotypes, but if she was anything like that I wouldn't have married her. Most women who cheat also have fat lazy husbands who stopped romancing them years ago. And she's never been one to flash her boobs. BTW, I'm only 26, and in good shape (6'1", 205lbs). So no worries here!

Such ignorance :rolleyes I was completely happy with WHO I was, I just wanted to fill out my shirts, to not be self-conscious about 'having no boobs'. It's been one of the best things I've done :)

I just had my breast enhancement back in April. . .I'm 5'2 110 lbs, very small bone structure. I went from an A/B to a nice C cup. It's something I had been thinking about for 10 yrs, so naturally I did tons of research online :) I suggest she take plenty of time to do the same & make sure it is what she wants :)

Oh, and my surgery was scary easy. . .I didn't even have to take any pain medicine & I was back at work quickly. My surgery was Thursday & I was back to work the following Wednesday :)

Well I think if you even are thinking of doing it then you are not totally happy with your body and if this is what is going to make her totally happy with her body then she should go for it.

I have had mine for 10 years now and I know it was a life changing experience for me...for the best. Oh yeah I was a -A cup before and my husband was against it too but it has to be for you and noone else:)

so I'm ignorant for trying to NOT convince someone who is barely out of HIGHSCHOOL and hasn't even had children yet, to go ahead and have pretty substantial surgury? I think you need to re-evaluate your comment.

i'm the one defending women feeling good about themselves JUST as they are. ever wonder why the interest for augmentation grows more and more? b/c its the cool thing to do. people follow each and expect others to do the same - w/o even thinking first if it even needs to be done. Having big breasts will be kewler than smaller ones for a little while, then it'll be something else. back in the day you were appeared as weird or diff. to have larger than average breasts. Its society that makes women think they need them. Unfortunatly its due in part by how crass men are.

I'll stay out of the forum though - just with respect to (wrt) the interest of the rules GDC has set.

boobs don't solve it -

I think her "ignorance" comment was aimed at this....... as if to say there was something wrong with a woman who wants to have a more proportional body. Sure SOME who have it done have mild to severe mental disorders (Body dismorphic disorder for one) and no it wont solve THIS, but for a large majority of women it is not to "fix" anything mental. It is to feel more proportional, and be able to go clothes and bathing suit shoping without getting depresed cause you cant find anything that looks right or is flattering.

My wife and I are talking about her maybe going the other direction with a reduction as soon as she's done breast feeding Ryan. She hates looking in the mirror at herself now.. I'd do anything and pay any amount to take that pain away from her.

+1

My wife is NOT some bimbo wanting huge boobs so she'll get more attention. She wants to fill out her clothes better, and feel better when she looks in the mirror. Jlo and Dilly are right as well. Sure I find myself staring at Jlo's sig sometimes, but hey, she's got a smile on her face!:D

Yep, Joe was correct . . . just because a woman choses to have an augmentation done, doesn't mean she has mental issues or is craving attention, etc.

Geez, I didn't mean for you to go off on a tangent. Having a bad day maybe? :(

And actually, really huge boobs are already on the way out . . . natural is more "in" now :p

I'm actually considering enhancement myself. I'm a D cup now, but I've had 3 children that were born weighing 10 lbs and I breast fed all 3 of them. SO I don't want BIGGER, I just want to be "perkier"? I'm not how to describe it...I just don't want them to my navel in the next 10 years. :spit

been thinking about them too. i'm not looking for soemthing insanely large. right now i'm a c. i was just thinking of going one, maaaaaaaybe one and a half cup sizes up. mostly b/c i'm not a tiny little thing. i've got a pretty healthy ass and would like to feel more proportionate. i'm not some huge fat ass, but again, it's about proportion and feeling better about yourself when you look in the mirror.

to the gals that have them:
how did you find the doctor best sited for you?
what sort of things have you gone through after them? by this i mean, i've heard some women say they gained weight after getting them, and some say they felt smaller, some say bigger. (body image wise)
my biggest concern is finding a doc who can do a natural looking boob, not some basketball shoved inside of my tit. perky is good, but some huge, uneven breasts are NOT what i'm going for

Well, GV if you wre closer I would send you to my last surgeon. He is by far the best around and if you seen my boobs now compared to the old...you would see the difference. My new boobs look like they are mine and that is how I like it. Those softballs I had before were way outdated:lol But Dilly is right natural is in now. 10 years ago when I got the first set the big boob thing was going on...so you go with the flow I guess:confused but I was also really young and followed the lead:rolleyes

Go see more than one surgeon and look at their pics. You will know which surgeons know what they are doing and who don't.:D

I personally am not for boob jobs. But I'm not really a boob guy either. Dont get me wrong, I love em, but its the face and the overall body, as well as the personality, which matters. No offence, but before anyone does something permanent to their body to make up for insecurities, maybe they should try counseling first.

the old fake titties discussion always sends me into an uncontrollable rant.

my personal preference is small and athletic.
anything more than a handful is a waste.
:cheers

plus they'll never be the same after they've been stuffed around with.
have to keep going back for maintenance all the time.
but if you like big titties you're the one that's gotta wear em! so do what you think is right by you.

If you're getting bigger breasts to get people to look at you...
personally I stare at big breasts the same way I stare a retarded people.
I know I'm not supposed to stare, I know it's wrong, but they freak me out!:biggrin I can't help it!

Just keep in mind, I'm being honest, and it's only my personal taste.
I'm sure plenty of people love buxom chicks, the bigger the better!:drool
Just get some that will fit into your leathers!

edit: if it's just a self image thing, spend some time at the gym together. Or even working out at home, you don't need equipment for low resistance workouts. It'll tighten everything up, and give you more 'endurance' (which can't be said for surgery).
and it's cheaper.

I was watching a special on discovery or some channel like that where women were wanting breast implants. One woman wanted them cause she wanted to pose in playboy and the her agent kept telling her not to do it as she would kill her chances at it, but she insisted. Well she got her implants and playboy imediatly told her they did not want her anymore because of the implants. They told her they were after NATURAL women whether they are b,c,d, dd. My wife is vietnamese and it is a known fact that MOST asian women do not have big breast. I am a breast man and allways have been. My ex wife was mexican with dd and my ex girlfried was the same way. My wife now is a small A. As much as I love breast, I dont really care that she is a small a. I have heard too many horror stories of women that get them and then hate their bodies even more after they do the surgury. I know some women are really happy when they do it, but there are some that are not. I also know that my mom had breast cancer and had to have both breast removed. She had implants put in and had to have them redone 3 different times over the years and she is only 52. For her insurance paid for all 3 times because she had to have her's removed due to cancer. They will not pay again if they have to be redone again. Think about that when considering this surgery. As someone else said, you will have to have them redone at some point and unless you have them done due to medical reasons in the first place, you foot the bill.

punkadilly

I agree surgery is not for everyone. It's a very person decision to make, and there's so many things to think about when debating surgery. I may joke around, but it's a serious thing.

I will say this surgery was a wonderful experience for me, and I'm soo happy with the results :)

Blaise

If Beth posted here she'd tell you. I was wraught with emotional turmoil for days before and after the surgery. Honestly, I love my wife and dedicated my life to her the way she is (was). Thus, the thought of an expensive and temporarily debilitating surgery was weighing heavily on my mind. I was scared, aprehensive, worried, you name it, I was feeling it. I didn't even look at the finished product for a few days after. Just the thought of my wife "going under" and getting cut up just for some boobs had me feeling sick. I honesly don't give a shit about breast size. As long as I can tell they are female breasts, they are good enough for me.

However, she is much happier with the way everything fits. I'm happy I can still fit both nipples in my mouth at once (that was a major concern of mine). She recovered really well and actually woke up during the procedure and still had no complaints. She went from like a small B to a well, I don't think she's officially sized them yet but I'm guessing C at least. In fact, we have a little wager about the end result size. :P

Overall, if it is honestly what they want, support them in their decisions about their own body (remember, you don't own shit but your opinion should still be heard). They will be happier in the long run.
If they go off and "bang some hot young stud" they were going to anyway and the tits have little to do with that, aside from the confidence to finally leave your ass for someone that appreciates her.

Anyway, I just happened to notice the thread title from the main forum list. I'm ditching this estrogen fest right about......

it's really her choice, if it's something she really wants she should do it, but i really hope she has thought long and hard about it. there are many people who are happy w/ it once they've had it done, but there are people who are not and would do anything to go back. being a small girl, the bigger breasts are going to put more pressure on her back, plus if you do decide to have kids she won't be able to breast feed. there is also always risk of infection and recovery time is quit a bit. personally i have not had it done, thought about it for a while, but after doing enough research and watching shows about it i decided never to do it, plus i haven't decided whether or not to have kids and if i do i want to be able to have the choice of breast feeding.

a good place to bring this up would be chicriders.com, there are a few girls on there that have had it done and can give you pros and cons, there have already been discussions on there reguarding this subject to that you can look at.

Women who want implants are insecure of themselves and usually in denial. Also suicide is higher among them. I would never date a woman with implants unless she got them for a medical reason. If she was my girlfriend or wife I would flip.

But your user name implies that you are a woman hating cock gobbler, aka flaming homosexual.
From my personal experience, none of the women I know with implants have killed themselves. Sure some have some insecurities, but guess what? They're women, if they aren't insecure about something, they should seek therapy. :lol

Seriously though, whatever "studies" you read, clearly are not true to a T. It would be just as assinine to say that all people who use drugs or drink are doing it to subdue some inner turmoil. Sure, it's common, but certainly not the case for everyone.

My wife got hers done less then 2 years ago. It has to be something she wants not what you want. Getting them made her feel like a women, proportionate and her self esteem sky rocketed.

Do tons of research. When she finds a doctor research him. Ask for before and after pictures. The doctor my wife went to has been rated number 1 plastic surgeon in Jacksonville for the last 9 years. He does most of the Roar Jag Cheerleaders.
Not all of the implants come out the same. Just depends on how your wife’s body is.

Paying for adjustments every 10 years can't be cheap. And i'm no surgeon, but I cant see them being able to repair the skin so well when you're 35. What happens when you're 40.. 50. You might look good in a shirt, but if you take it off in the bedroom then what? The skin / scars definately wont be very attractive. Looks sort of like lasagne around the sides from what i've seen :S

I'm all for them though if that's what makes you feel better about yourself now, just the future i'd be really concerned with..

10-27-2006, 03:11 PM
Paying for boobs is cheaper than buying a new bike every few years :lol ;)

As for scarring & such, that varies person to person & on the surgeon. As for the age factor, I don't think it's an issue as long as you take care of yourself properly.

Honestly, it was the easiest thing for me. I didn't even need pain meds, I never hurt :) I know it's not like that for everyone though and I also didn't go huge.

timyates519
10-27-2006, 03:16 PM
Well you're stretching tissue that wasn't meant to be stretched...and once your skin loses it's elasticity due to age, you've maybe seen what that looks like if you have breast implants. But you're right, bikes make me happy..

I'd say if she's concious about it do it. Only live once, might as well live happy with yourself. Just make sure she knows of the 'upkeep' :D

punkadilly
10-27-2006, 03:24 PM
It's breast tissue, they can grow or lose a couple of cups if you have a child . . . that tissue was 'meant' to be stretched :lol

Besides, mine are under the muscle. Also, once you've had implants for a while, your body creates scar tissue which results with a pocket being formed ;)

timyates519
10-27-2006, 03:28 PM
Well that's because most people have children before they're 35-40.. and their skin still has it's natural elasticity so it will return to normal.... :S I'm sure your breast are great.

timyates519
10-27-2006, 03:33 PM
Ok ok i'll admit it. I got a lap dance from a 50 year old stripper. She had 4 surgeries to try and make herself look normal again, lets say.. I woulda paid to have her put her shirt back on.

Implants are like fake name brand clothes - yea they may look OK, but everyone knows they are fake. Plus it screams "mental issues". Big or small - natural stuff is the best. I personally would hate to see my girl with implants, especially since they got so cheap and every 25-30 y.o. is getting them.

I like big boobs, but natural big boobs. Implants feel different, they don't look natural (either bacuse breasts start to deform, scars appear, they point different directions, they have a too roundish shape dowards the lower part, they look like baloons with too much air, stretch marks appear, they don't move the same, they don't look right when woman is in the horizontal position, etc)

Girls - don't get implants, if you think you need to cut yourself to make yourself better - do something else that will benifit you - work out, get your body in better shape, learn something cool, travel, do something to make yourself better as a person, not as a piece of meat.

That was the lamest remark. For some girls it has nothing to do with "mental issues". My wife got them to make her body look even. It depends how their body is and how their doctor is. My wifes look completly natural and just about as soft as the real thing. You must of dated girls that had some screwed up jobs. Actually your entire outlook on them is wrong but...

i say, why mess with what GOD gave you. Many different feelings on this subject, but i believe some way, some how, he'll get you back. I dont care for boobs at all, i'm a ass man. maybe why i really don't care for the surgery. i feel that society has turned everyone into fixing or making there bodies better. who' to say whats better? just be happy with what you have. Implants have become such a fashion. we get them cuz its in. "it looks good" "i feel better" look back on all the things people have done in the past. ha, haircuts, clothes, now plastic surgery.

the fact is - a woman that goes under a knife for reasons other than reconstructive surgery for natural deformation or because of some accident, is not happy with herself to a point where she wants someone to cut away a part of her flesh or stick a foreign object into her body. And all of this is just a fad, since women wouldn't (and didn't use to) care if their tits were the size of melons that contradicted the common laws of physics, if it wasn't for popularization of big breasted women in modern western culture. They do it because 1) they want to appear better looking in the eyes of other women, 2) they want to be more appealing to men. The whole pile of BS about liking herself in the mirror is just that - a convenient lie. If it wasn't for the fad, she would like herself in the mirror and wouldn't even think about enlarging her breasts as it wouldn't do anything for her perception of self.

If women did it for themselves only, they wouldn't be accentuating their breast and cleavage every time they go out of the house. They wouldn't worry about the tank top that shows the most of their tities pushed up by the wonder-bra.

There is nothing wrong with striving for a better body, as long as one doesn't take it to the extreme.

If they start putting in breast implants, why not extend legs at the same time and cut off of the fat from stomach and thighs, take out couple of ribs, brake the nose a couple of times to make it look more perfect, "even out" the lips in the private area, remove hair on the back of the neck and so on...? Oh that doesn't sound appealing... because it is too extreme or because none of that is "in" right now?

If a woman can't be happy with what she got from birth, perhaps she needs to work on some other aspects of her persona before sticking foreign objects into her body.

I can't wait to see the "blow in" breast implants where her nipples are really concealed tubes use to inflate or deflate their breasts to match the occasion. Oh, going to a theater, lets deflate them a bit to look classy. Oh, girls are going out - inflate them to the max!

The whole topic reminds me of the Pink's "Stupid Girls" song and music video.

:spit :lol Yazon, you have a very skewed perception. I got mine for me, because my body wasn't proportional. I also had issue with clothes fitting properly. I'm not flashing cleavage everytime I leave the house either & I don't give a shit what another woman thinks of me. As far as men, I'm a happily married woman . . . no really, I am :p

However, I'm not going to try and change your mind. It's obvious that your mind is closed on this subject & it would be a waste of my time ;)

There's always been something else though man . . . be it the color of hair, the color of eyes, etc. Look at art through the ages & how women were depicted.

Like I said though . . . I disagree with him. I do understand whay he's trying to say and I'm sure there is a percentage of women like that. However, do not group all women into that description :nono That's just wrong & silly.

You're either for plastic surgery or against it (for cosmetic reasons only) and that's the way it is.

I guess for the same reason they didn't purchase Ferrari's back then either. Cause they Couldn't. Technology has come along why do now they can. If one can get a Ferrari, why not? Women can work out all day long. If they feel self consious about their breast and can fix it, why not? I mean, God gave all women breast. What about the women that have their left one a full C and their right now not even an A cup? Or the women that has one boob down to her belly button. Do those women get implants cause they have mental issues?

If women did it for themselves only, they wouldn't be accentuating their breast and cleavage every time they go out of the house. They wouldn't worry about the tank top that shows the most of their tities pushed up by the wonder-bra.

Again, if it makes them feel better about themselves, why not. Same reason why we as men work out, to make ourselves feel better. Men didn't work out back in the day either.

There is nothing wrong with striving for a better body, as long as one doesn't take it to the extreme.

Again, if they have the money and the want, who cares?

If they start putting in breast implants, why not extend legs at the same time and cut off of the fat from stomach and thighs, take out couple of ribs, brake the nose a couple of times to make it look more perfect, "even out" the lips in the private area, remove hair on the back of the neck and so on...? Actually they do that now. Me personally I think the lips etc is retarted but I don't judge.

If a woman can't be happy with what she got from birth, perhaps she needs to work on some other aspects of her persona before sticking foreign objects into her body.

Again, if they have physical issues with their body then why not. Personally I think if a woman wants to do something to her body to make themselves look attrative, why not? Same thing as a car or bike, why do we mod it or add body kits, wheels? To make it look better cause we like it.

I can't wait to see the "blow in" breast implants where her nipples are really concealed tubes use to inflate or deflate their breasts to match the occasion. Oh, going to a theater, lets deflate them a bit to look classy. Oh, girls are going out - inflate them to the max!

Let me guess, your woman said no to implants so your telling yourself it isn't right? Like I said a second ago, is your motorcycle stock? Did you put a pipe on it? Why cause everyone else does? Cause you wanted the sound or to make your bike look better? Same thing applies...

Well, RussZTT was onto something... I do keep almost everything i buy in stock condition. For whatever reason, i don't get any joy from putting aftermarket parts on cars/bikes, etc. I guess i feel the same about people. I don't have tatoos, don't wear rings, chains, etc. I think all of these accessories are just silly. But I also understand that everyone has the right to do whatever they want as long as it doesn't affect me in a negative way. It just seems that getting a plastic surgery or full body tatoo is quite extreme.
Either way, no hard feelings towards girls with implants, i just don't agree with the reasoning behind such surgeries.

I know i can't change anyone's mind here, but it was still fun do discuss the subject.

I one day will get breast augmentation...
Not because I want bigger breasts...I already own a pair of natural DD's
I will get it because when gravity takes over completely I am not going to want to look at them. I have always done what I could to ensure that I had nice titties...And for having two kids and breast feeding, they are great...I am not bragging, I am just stating a fact...Now, that doesn't mean in 10 years that they are going to be where they are today. That just wont happen. And no matter how much exercise I do, only so much will work. As skin ages it loses it's elasticity. Breasts are heavy and that weight is always in one spot, pulling on that skin. I wont be fixing my breasts because of other woman, or even my husband. I will be fixing them because I want them to be pretty. I want to look at my body as whole and say wow, I look good. I want to do that when I am 40-60-80-and maybe 120. I do it because I am vain. Now I could go around wearing bras that lift them up so that they look like they are on my chest and not my stomach, but then I would still have to see them when they are not in a bra. Again, vanity. I am vain. Most women do it because they want to look better in their eyes. Not because men are going to be attracted to them. Well maybe some women will. But the majority of them is because they want to look better and women tend to feel better about themselves if they look good. Hence the clothes, nails, hair, plastic surgery.
And just to further that argument, men are self concious about their penis size.
Is that because someone told them to be...Probably not, it is because it one of the possessions that have to entice a mate. All it takes is seeing one extremely large penis for a man to go, man I wish I had that. Or even one larger than the one you're packing and you feel insecure about it.
This really isn't a fun item to discuss because you Yazon are not discussing it, you are not trying to see it from any other side. You are seeing it from you are right and everyone else is wrong. Which isn't a discussion at all. Now with that said, this thread is annoying...and I just had to add to its annoyance.

Being that silicon implant have been approve again that is the only way to go. And they should be under the muscle. The silicon will give you the most natural feel. Saline implants are hard rocks. It's a decision your girlfriend will have to make. My ex girlfriend just had hers done. Due to age 55, having kids hers had become very flacid, so she had a lift & implants the doctor did a great job 38D. Just make sure to check out you doctor. IF they are implanted thru the areola you will most likley not be able to breast feed

punkadilly
11-19-2006, 09:28 PM
Actually, only certain people are eligible for silicone. It's not open to everyone . . . and yes, under the muscle is the way to go for sure :) Saline implants are not hard rocks when used properly. It's when they are over inflated that they become hard ;)

RussZTT
11-20-2006, 07:54 AM
It's not that Saline are hard as rocks. It all depends on how the woman's body is. Some women develop a harding due to foreign objects in their body, that's what causes the hardness, not the actual implant ;)

Actually, they just passed the law this past week that if you are 22 and older you can get Silicone implants again!!! :cheers I had to choose between them at my last surgical experience and I am so glad I went with silicone...nothing like it! but my saline implants were like rocks so I guess I went from rocks to the most natural feel you can get from fake breast so I am biased now:lol

Is that a picture of her in your sig.....WOW she DIDN"T need new titts shes GORGIOUS.....PERIOD let her read this your a very lucky man!!!!:eek
