Primmum raised my insurance by about $200. Anybody else get shafted? Where's a good broker? What's everybody else pay for 1100's and 1000's? (Busa's too)

I'm pretty sure that everyone's rates went up for this year, car & bike

Riders Plus:
Last year - $2500
This year, even though I'm a two-star rider instead of a one-star like last year - $3400

I'm going to give State Farm a call when renewal comes around in July. They're cheaper for me.

(My rate was raised by $300, my mistake). Riders PLus quote: $2250.00 plpd. Primmum's not lookin so bad right now $1185.00. One more year and I'll hit the big 3-0 and the rates should drop again.

Holly crap! I'm only 23 and I only pay $1,800 for full coverage on my Gixxer6 at State Farm; and no, I don't have my car insured with them - only the bike. You're getting the shaft!

I was supposed to switch to State Farm too, as of last Saturday, because they gave me a quote of $900 (liability) for my '02 1000; I'm 28 and live just outside T.O.....I have 2 minor tickets on my record and a claim last year. Even when the agent saw my abstract he offered to do a policy for $1300 (liablity); which is still amazing! But, when he tried to put it through, he said that 3 infractions on my abstract put me "over the limit",if i had only 2 i would've been okay!!! Something has to be done about these damn insurance companies! I have friends that are bike salesmen, and they told me that their bike sales are down ~%50 of what they were last year! And they said it's directly related to the increased cost of insurance...They said customers will come in to buy a bike, put a deposit down, then go home and find out about insurance - and they can't afford to buy the bike anymore!!!.....Which is kinda what happened to me! Oh well....looks like i'll be riding the track all season! And just think, the $4k i would've paid for insurance is equal to paying for ~40 track days!..................I'd still rather ride on the street though!
