okay since this is a project i seem to need to do.
Im trying to gather a list of to do /etc.

Things I must do.
1. crank bearings ( black ones yes? just the end ones?)
2. head/block gaskets
3. locktite blue/red
4. some case gasket stuff mine looks white. dunno what its called
5.

Optionals.
1. replace camchain ( probably from ape)
2. bore hone sleeves to 1146 or something, Probably send out to dwayne if deals good enough
3. replace tranny bearings?
4. clean scrape gunk off valves. New springs/shims?
5. adjustable cam sprockets?
6.
7.

theoretical options:
1. head gasket, thicker or thin? more compression or more volume.
2. gear ratios? should i try to do stock 1.565 74/46 or like a 2001 73/47 (1.553)
3. will a first gear primary gear mate with the secondary gear of a 750.
i.e take gsxr 750 first gear ( driven) and fit it to an 1100 (not the driven)
i noticed on the parts look up my 3rd and 4th coutershaft gears both have 22 teeth. but the 750 3/4 is 20/21.
I know thats a wicked technical lol. but if i have set of 750 and 1100 gears, i could/should be able to mix/match.

dunno just a thought..

Must Do List:
1. You have to size the bearings based on the crank codes stamped on the crank and the codes stamped on the back of the engine cases. If you have a micrometer it's a good idea to mic the crank journals to verify they are still within the tolerances set by the bearing code chart in the manual.
2. Head Gasket is standard item.
3. I don't use loctite on any engine bolts.....
4. Yamabond #4 is what I use.

Optionals:
1. Cam chains are cheap enough so why not.
2. 1146 sure.....
3. I wouldn't worry about Tranny bearings as much as I would 2nd gear....
4. I wouldn't worry about new valve springs unless you were going with aftermarket cams. Shim only if out of spec.
5. Adjustable cam Sprockets Only if you have a competent person do it!!

err.. i see the bearings as possible issue, if im using an 1100 crank and 750 case, then the chart wont work?

:wacko We are talking Crank/Case bearings here and the charts are identical.;)

Mike, I can tell you the crankcase bore size for crankshaft are all ĻAĻ code: Take a look at section 3-36 for color codes... But you need to know your crankshaft code, it is stamped on it, and you will figure it out when you take it apart...
A few things that you might want to take a look at:
Complete engine gasket kit, but, you will need the following that is NOT included in the kit:
Water pump seals and O ring
cylinder base O rings (they wanted 28$ each at the Suzuki dealer...) Get them from an O ring distributor...
intake boot O rings
etc...
