As most of you know, this has been aproject of love and hate... lol...
I have been working on this project for the last 10 months or more, putting hundreds and hundreds of hours, and also making attention to detail to the forefront, inspired by my gixxer W/C buddies...

Like many people in here, that have been doing projects for a few years, I take a bow to you!

For all the people in the W/C forum, I dedicate my work to : Dave, Mike, Bobby, Dan, Danny, Glenn, and all the rst of you that were there when I needed it!

All that said, I still have quite a few bugs before I go riding, and will probably figure those out by next week:
My light were working a few minutes before, now a few minutes later: No more...
Checked connectors, and stuff... nope...

I still need to fix the seal on the water pump: I added some bond to the o ring , Still leaked, then took that off, and I put some high temp silicone I had (big bloob, and waited 3 hours... still leaked... pffff......

Oh well , will get an o ring via Suzuki on wednesday...

My neutral light plays silly games it goes on where it wants to : 1st, 4 th... lol...

Couple of pics for your enjoyment... Now time to clean up... the house is a mess back there...lol...

i agree, that paint looks wet!! i cant wait to see it completely back together. you are inspiring me to finish my bike, although i still need a couple parts to finish. i dont kow if you did this, but you might go thru all your electrical connectors and put grease on them. i hope you get the electrics sorted out. i know that stuff drives me crazy. keep it up!

Number one, welcome to GDC!
As for your question, those are BMC filters (they are model 3092)
Those fit better than the K&Ns ...But if you go that route, you will need stage 3 carb kit also...
Fred

Oups... didnt read through the whole thread, before replying...

That is nothing compared to us guys that have been on GDC since 2002
I shudder to thing how much I've spent.
I'd need a accountant to figure it out.

Its just to show, that everything adds up so quickly...lol...
Never thought I would sink twice the price of the bike into it, when I bought it...11877
But its only money...And every time I see stuff for the bike, I get the same feeling like when I was a kid, and just got my allowance;, ready to go get some chocolate bars, and penny candies...lol...

Man, I always miss the good posts when I'm outa town!
That bike looks tough, Fred. Almost a shame to put any body work on it!
You did a lot better job polishing than I did. Looks great.
I have that neutral light thing too on my new motor. I think the sender housing is just a bit too worn on the back side. The rod tends to put a gouge in the plastic. My light will come on if I rev the bike a bit - vibration sets it. Or maybe the rod/ ball is sticky?
Anywho, glad you stuck with it, and wish I could see it up close.
That's still a 750 only with some head work, right. Which reminds me I need to get with you about that.
