: Oil leak help...

Ok, I found the coolant leak, it was around the water pump housing...
Now, I saw where the oil is coming from : It is coming out from a little hole that looks like a drain in the bottom of the head for spark plug #1.:crying
(looks like all spark plugs have this hole, but only #1 leaks...)
The oil flow is attached to RPMs : High idle the flow is higher, than slow idle... Any ideas, before I go around dismantling stuff ???

I read in the O/C forum, that this is a drain for the spark plug hole:
If my valve cover gasket did not seal around the hole, would higher RPMs , still afect and increase oil leak flow ?

Any other ideas, of explaining, thus fixing the leak?:scratch

Anxiously awaiting for your input!:cheers

i really dont have any experience with this situation on these bikes, but rpm's would effect the flow amount. i would say pull the plug on number one and see if you can tell if it is coming from the valve cover gasket. hopefully that is all it is, which is probably the case.

took out the spark plug wire, and the plastic is defintaly in oil...
Time to take off rad, gas tank, thermostat, wires, frickin carb cables
(does this become easier with time, or they are always a bitch?)
and all that stuff to take off valve cover , and re-seal , having the gasket seating right, and add bond...
(Bond is suggested on the underside of the valve cover in the manual, but do you guys suggest/do this?)

I added bond on the underside when gasket was fitted...

Carb cables are a bitch to remove at the carbs.I've always taken mine off at the throttle tube and swung them out of the way except when I did my swap, that lower 10mm nut on the return cable is a bitch to get to
