: Arizona Gixxer ride on July 2and
dragon1000 06-25-2006, 11:51 PM Well here it is guys nice and early,so every one can make plans a make this ride.
I think we will run the SPARS,since we haven't done that in a while.
We will meet at the shell station in Wickenburg at 7:00am.Depart no later than 7:30am
For the west side guys,we can all meet up at the Safeway gas station on the corner of Litchfield and Waddel.Meet up at 6:00am and depart from there at 6:15am
So post up Gentleman lets make this one count I have to break in my power comander.:D
iluvdagxr 06-26-2006, 12:42 AM 7am sounda goooooodd grasshoppa! That isa ona sundaayyy, corrrect?
BrazilJiuGixxu 06-26-2006, 09:20 AM Count 2 of us in also. Although, i cant say 100%, got some family problems going on so not sure.. but for now we are in..
loms1977 06-26-2006, 09:47 AM Alrighty - I am in, for those centrally located (tempe/mesa/chandler), lets meet up at 515am, depart at 530am to meet the rest of the group in Wickenburg by 7am.
Lets try a new meeting place in case we want coffee, gas, or something to eat. Southwest corner of University and 52nd Street, just off the Broadway curve. It is a gas station, I think a QuikTrip.
Post up who is in!
Newbee 06-26-2006, 10:33 AM I have a family bbq sunday, but depending on what time it's starting I might be able to make it. I'll find out this week & post back up.
:cheers

I can do that probably. How many people will be meeting here to roll out?
loms1977 06-26-2006, 11:58 AM Newbee - You better make the ride slacker, we will be back by 1 or 2. Our rides in the past leave at 9am and we are back by 3, so figure 1pm to return.
Roach - Typically it is myself and Mark who live out in this area, we meet and ride up to Wickenburg to meet the rest. Once we all meet, our rides are usually 6-7 people. We have never had more than 10.
Sometimes riders on other boards may join us for a ride, it depends on if we post the ride on other forums. It is safe to say that all the riders who ride with us are very friendly and safe. We look out for each other and we ride our own pace to keep the rubber side down.
Food in Prescott is GREAT as is the company on the ride. We learned a valuable lesson last ride with a $400+ dollar tow bill, so now one of the riders goes and fetches a truck and the downed rider reimburses the driver gas, pizza, and beer!
iluvdagxr 06-26-2006, 02:11 PM plus, make sure to bring TP for Brazil so he can take his hour long shit.

Can you give me the exact address of where I need to meet you all to ride up to meet the rest of the group. that way i can mapquest it. That site is my new best friend until i learn my way around.
loms1977 06-26-2006, 04:44 PM Roach - Mapquest sucks because of all the Freeway closures that it does not take into consideration.
You live in Mesa, so I will give you two sets of directions depending on where in Mesa you are.
If you are closer to the US60 Freeway - take US60 to I-10, go north, might read I-10 west (this is right at the Arizona Mills Mall, big freeway interchange), it is your first exit, Broadway Rd/52nd St. Exit there, go straight across the intersection, you are now heading north on 52nd street. Your next main street is University, it is on the left.
If you are closer to the 202 - take the 202 west, exit at Priest, go south (left) to University, go west (right) to 52nd Street. Southwest corner.
Not sure the exact address, if you want a visual, go to google.com, maps, zoom into AZ, find your local on the street map, follow along. We are basically meeting at the 1-10/143/202 intersection. It is right near the airport.
Call me with questions 602-568-1657

iluvdagxr 06-27-2006, 05:06 PM I'll probably take the 17 back down once we run the Spars a few times and go by my g/p's house if you guys are going back the back way.

Mark67 06-27-2006, 08:52 PM Hey I'm probably older than all ya so watch it newbee. But still tough enough to kick it old school on an 86.
iluvdagxr 06-27-2006, 10:01 PM LMFAO! Don't they say that if your medicare won't cover it they'll get you one for free?? :thumbup
dragon1000 06-27-2006, 10:08 PM It is very sad when the three oldest guys on here can kick all of your asses up and down the mountain.
All you youngsters can bring it all day but in the end your just going to get your beat down:hammer
1stofaseries 06-28-2006, 01:23 AM come on now, i remember my boy and i (the one riding 2 up) embarassing certain people postin here.....
Cant wait for the next one!
Mark67 06-28-2006, 02:38 AM One ride doesn't give you total immunity but passing me 2 up definitely deserves props, hehe.
Roach02 06-28-2006, 10:51 AM I don't know how i'll compare to you guys but i'm just ready to do some riding besides this cruising around town stuff.
Newbee 06-28-2006, 01:20 PM I knew that would stir the pot up a bit, I love it! Hey my computer at home took a dump so I won't be able to post up this weekend. If anything changes call me Dragon 602-614-5468 and let me know. This youngster's in training & soon I'll be leading the pack just need some more experience.:biggrin
loms1977 06-28-2006, 01:39 PM 1stof - you should of stuck around for a ride through the twisties, that is where we rail. The majority of us are not as confident on high speed sweepers like you both are. I was impressed with the 2up pass though.
The Spars is our home track, it would be nice for you and your friend to make the ride, I would like to follow the two of you through there.

BrazilJiuGixxu 06-29-2006, 03:09 PM Someone say "let the trash talking begin?" Well, the king of trash talking is here, so now it can begin. Anyways, my computer is still down. dragon1000 07-02-2006, 02:55 PM As always it was good riding with you guys.Damn I love the SPARS,nothing better than home court.
Roach it was a pleasure meeting with you.
NO surprise that a new guy can beat up on Brazil:hammer
And as far as you Mr. I Luvda we shoulg call you ILUVDASLEEP:sleep. You miissed out on some nice weather.
Well at least we all know that we wear gear for a reason, today was a good lesson on that.
May be we can all get together on Saturday night for some beers:cheers
iluvdagxr 07-02-2006, 03:11 PM where are the wreck pics??? When you work 6 days a week in the sun and stay up til 2am stuff like that kinda happens. :thumbup
Roach02 07-02-2006, 03:22 PM As always it was good riding with you guys.Damn I love the SPARS,nothing better than home court.
Roach it was a pleasure meeting with you.
May be we can all get together on Saturday night for some beers:cheers
it was nice meeting you all also. Damn we just don't have roads like that in Indiana. I loved every minute of it but wish we could've ran the SPARS at least a couple more times but after the incident it was probably better we headed back.
i'm all up for the saturday night beers, just call my cell 812-620-3000. i forgot to get any of your guys numbers. :scratch
Mark67 07-02-2006, 03:52 PM Great run. Glad for the cloud cover.. made for an awesome day. I forgot to get the pics for the cards... guess we'll do that next time around.
Good to see/meet everyone.
loms1977 07-03-2006, 10:55 AM Great weather! Good ride, wish I had more sleep and less beer the night before. Glad to see some new faces on the ride. Breakfast was good.
Roach - first time to the spars and you were all over our a$$es, looks like we have to step it up a beat now. :)
Overall great ride, everyone made it home safe and in one piece, always good news.
See you guys soon.
BrazilJiuGixxu 07-03-2006, 03:18 PM Ya, lots of fun. Good riding, even though didnt get to run the spars too much...heheh At least everyone is ok. Speaking of riding, where were the two that embarrased everyone? And luvdasleep is correct. If you know you are getting up for a ride in the morning, why be up so late? You never get to ride cause you work all the time, so when there is a ride scheduled you stay up too late to make it??? Doesnt make sense to me...
iluvdagxr 07-03-2006, 03:24 PM stay up too late? I could stay up til 2:30 and still be up in time if my alarm would actually go off. Keep on talkin Sir Shits a Lot! LOL! Besides, when's the last time I didn't make a ride besides the 6am one which didn't happen anyway? I seem to recall Newb and myself going on a SPARS run without you guys once. LOL! It's all in good fun though.
Roach02 07-03-2006, 04:58 PM Roach - first time to the spars and you were all over our a$$es, looks like we have to step it up a beat now. :)
See you guys soon.
Well if you step it up too much next time i doubt if i'll be right behind you, i was pushing myself but it sure felt good! nothing like feeling your feet drag as you go around the corners. they just don't have roads like that in Indiana.:punk
loms1977 07-03-2006, 05:37 PM Sh*t, I nearly dragged the entire right side of my body when I almost lost the front end. I will confirm, when the front tire pushes give it gas, she will recover but then you have too much speed to make the damn tight a$$ right hander and you slam into the side of a rocky mountain. Glad I kept her on two wheels though.
I was just get'n goin' 2, Korn, Metallica, Pantera, next was Beastie Boys and then I really would have been railin.
Even hung over I still beat Dragon's arse to the top, would have passed sooner but he kept blockin me in the braking sections, BASTARD!
Roach - you need to join up on southwestrides.com. They are a great bunch of guys, older, and they can ride! There is always a ride posted for every week and they will show you all around AZ. A majority of them live out your way also.
dragon1000 07-03-2006, 05:38 PM Well Roach your going to have to step up and pay the 10 bucks to the site and get that nice red "R" under your name
dragon1000 07-03-2006, 05:41 PM Well hung over or not LOm's you know I'm getting faster, soon very soon I'll beat that ass down:hammer but in due time don't want to go down either:nono.
iluvdagxr 07-03-2006, 05:58 PM Especially in the decreasing radius and the cattle guard turn. :thumbdown Oh yeah, and that one that has the dip halfway through the turn!
loms1977 07-03-2006, 07:43 PM Those corners are there just to keep you honest, whenever you really think your flying they will reel your back in and let you know that you aren't as good as you think you are. The elevation change turn is my favorite!
Roach02 07-03-2006, 09:56 PM i like all the turns. :biggrin
Mark67 07-04-2006, 12:16 PM Love it when you can see a couple a head of you so you can really hit the turns hard. Either way the whole run keeps you honest.
Newbee 07-04-2006, 04:08 PM I got my computer back up and working. Sounds like you guys tore it up. I found out the night before I couldn't make it, the family bbq started early. Anyways post up some pics of you got em' it was a nice morning to ride.
dragon1000 07-05-2006, 12:05 AM yeah you miissed out Newb, the weather was perfect while we were up there:punkThen it was hell on the way home:cursing
Newbee 07-05-2006, 01:30 PM LOL! damn where is my red "R" at? It sure does take a while.

Newbee 07-06-2006, 05:37 PM Thx for the invite Brazil it looks like I'll be getting it over here to. It's going to be good, I'm looking forward to the Silva/Arlowski fight more than the Tito/Shamrock but they should both be great. I bet Shamrock will retire if he loses. He'll be doing alot of :crying on his way out the door.
BrazilJiuGixxu 07-06-2006, 06:25 PM Ok, fine. I see how it is. No more invites for you. You are banned.
