Hi guys!

just thought i would drop you all a line , the info i find on the forums is very valuble to me. its good to find a bike page that isnt full of bull and most seem to know what they are chattin about. a little about me, 1st bike was a zzr 400 a nice little thing that was very capable but kept getting hit by cars (sick of em pulling out on me) so i thought it was time for a change!

enter the gsxr600! a friend of mine owns a dyno so on it went and it was blessed with 115 bhp after a bit of work. the bike is awsome and even my mates that ride much bigger stuff (blackbird, r1, busa and a few blades) are amazed that nomatter what they try in the twisties they never manage to leave me. but in less than 3 hrs it will become my track toy http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/banana.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ! enter the bike of my dreams :gsxr 1000.

I've not slept properly since ordering the beast and soon i'm sure you will hear me chuckling all over the uk as i get to know my new machine.

I'll be back to let you know how it goes! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bounce.gif

see you soon

He he - Blackbirds and Busas are heavy tourers... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif They are fast on freeways but in the twisties they get their asses wooped big time... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Anyway, welcome to the board!!! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Hi mate!

Yes the busa is a strightline machine but the bird! to transform the handling and make it munch twisties just raise the rear shock height by 30 - 35 mm and hey presto.

a big (and well tuned bike) that can and has whooped many comers at oulton park and regularly eats r1's and the likes for breakfast.

i didnt belive it till i rode it and man is it now easy to chuck about. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

A busa that is well ridden will handle the twisties aweosme. I have seen someone around here eat up a R1 and a Gix 1k. I could not beat a 1k or a R1 on the on the twisties. But you would be suprised how well it handles.

Then that is the rider's skill, not necessarily the bike. In good twisties, a 600 can beat a 1000 if the rider is experienced. The R1 and Gixxer1K that got spanked just got beat by a better rider http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

welcome aboard http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I loved my 600 and never had a problem keeping up w/the big boys in the twisties either, just loved that bike. I moved up to a 750 since they wont be around much longer, and I can't say I've been disappointed, just hope you like your 1K just as much.

I know what you are saying but the busa take corners alot better than alot of people think. Well mine doesnt but stock wheel base ones do.
