Hey there,
So I did thoroughly try to search for this first however as I'm not actually sure of the cause it was a little hard to search...
Firstly I'm not sure if this is actually an issue, I just know my previous 3 bikes did not do this so I'm chasing it up. Let me know if its normal?!
The issue: I've noticed on the K6 600 that if you apply the brakes normally the lever will deflect a certain distance, but if you either apply the brakes very slowly, or slightly apply the brakes (say coasting through traffic) then apply them further to stop the lever deflects a lot further.
Video example here:
Reason I noticed is when coasting through traffic and two finger braking every now and then the lever would end up hitting the fingers still on the grip and I couldn't actually apply to brakes fully.
I've bled the brakes twice now and completely replaced fluid. No air found when bleeding. Can't locate any leaks and there has been no fluid loss over time.
I thought perhaps the master cylinder seals were leaking under light pressure so bought a OEM master cylinder kit. Fitted, bled brakes, no change.
I did notice some marks inside the cylinder itself, is this normal? (Photo attached: Marks are to the left of the cylinder wall - ignore the yellow its reflection from the torch and the white at the back of the cylinder is just light reflection). Seemed to be very light wear as I could not feel them at all with my finger.
Anyone had this problem or can suggest what may be causing the issue?
Cheers!
