Re: Anyone know socket size for rear axle nut?

My bike came with a wrench that fit it. It came with the little tool kit.

Now that you know the size of the nut, do you need the torque specs also? If so I'd suggest you RTFM.

yes! 36mm, get one. you may try and fail to find one nearby. go to sears. I went to home depot and lowes and couln't find one, sears had one. You can always use a crescent wrench. And the torque is 72.5 like that guys said, sounds right anyway. P.S. not that you need the advice but I highly recommend buying a service manual so you don't need to get on the forum each time you work on your bike. peace.

I walked out to my toolbox for that info man, that's how much love I have for you as a fellow rider/bro. I let my ice cream sit here on the table and I went outside in my jammies at 11:30 to check...peace.

just use the tool that came with your bike. It works fine, you gotta put a lot of force into it though.

That is why this hobby is so awesome. Sportbikers are always willing to help out each other out even if they don't have a clue who the hell the other person is. That post was funny. I have done sh*t like that for people on forums myself because I know somebody out there would do it for me.
