Re: Casey Stoner- The Final Lap

I can't stand him... I respect him especially since he is walking out because he isn't happy... I clicked on it to see what he was complaining about or bitching about this time.. Not so much the rules.. I can understand them all bitching about the tires, engine and ecu rules and just how Carmelo is flushing moto GP in the toilet.. But to hear him bitch and complain about interviews and personal appearances and all the pr stuff.. Just gets under my skin... Your fans are why you have a job.. If no one showed up to watch the races... No one would race.. And how he complains about other riders... Ahhh just don't like Casey... Still he can ride a bike ..

And no I didn't watch a 51 min video of him

Thats what he'll be remembered for, being the whining girl he is and blaming everything that ever goes wrong on someone or something other then himself.

I really can not remember the last time he actually had something good to say about any person/team/sponsor.

I don't know what's worse, listening to Casey whine, or listening to you guys whine about how much Casey whines. Pull yourselves together for fucks sake.

The "whining about the whining" is pretty ironic.

The thing is... It's my money that I spend when I go to the races that supports what he does... Kinda gives me the right to complain about how much of a bitch he can be... Like I said he can ride ... Full of talent.. Man the fuck up and do your job... But I respect walking out on top.. Because let's face it he lost the title because of the Indy high side...

That's cool, and I get it, but I had quite a laugh reading whiny sounding comments about someone whining. The money you spend at races goes to support what he does for a living, true, but if that's going to be a talking point you shouldn't buy products from the manufacturers that sponsor him: Honda, Redbull, Repsol etc. Spending money going to races indirectly supports him, and directly supports the sport. I am by no means a huge Stoner fan, but the man can win races, which in my opinion is 'manning the fuck up and doing his job.'

Re: Casey Stoner- The Final Lap

The kid is 26 and reached world-champion level twice already. It's hard not to have a swollen head with all that fame and success.

Idunno. I'm much older now and look back on me in my 20s and at how I could have handled so many situations with more grace and class. Basically, as you get older, the filter between your brain and your mouth develops more and more. Some people take longer but it doesn't mean they're intentionally trying to be assholes.

When Rossi came to him and apologized for taking him out, that was a pretty douchey comment he made but I'd bet he meant for it to be funny.... didn't sound funny though.

Re: Casey Stoner- The Final Lap

Casey can RIDE, maybe the best ever - on today's bikes at least. He's a pretty serious fellow and probably OCD which may be why he is always focusing on what's wrong, not what's fun. Not a great interview subject. But his comment to Rossi after Casey was submarined by him was appropriate, accurate and a classic - Rossi's ambition (ie aggression in this case) did outweigh his talent. My view.
