New Best

Loaded up and went to the track today. Was able to run a new personal best of 10.10 at 139.8. Bike is a 2011 gsxr750 with bmc filter, cat delete, ecu, -1+2 gearing, lowered and strapped. I am 175 lbs, and the bike weighed 382lbs. Here is a video of a 10.16 pass from today.

Re: New Best

Awesome run. Thanks for the video, I'm going to see if I can learn from it. You're trapping 8 MPH higher than I am!

Did you do the 520 conversion, if not, where did you get the 525 rear sprocket from? Besides the midpipe and no mirrors, what else do you have for weight reduction?

Re: New Best

The rear sprocket is a vortex sprocket. Still 525 chain. Fuel level was low but the light wasnt on yet, put in an alien motion lithium battery, fully deleted the set valve, pair mod is also done, forgot to mention that previously. Stock with 1/2 tank the bike weighed in at 415 lbs.

Nice pass, man! No stretch on the bike yet? I assume you're shooting for single digits? What are you future mod plans?

Re: New Best

No stretch yet. I want to go 9's on the swb. My buddie who has a 2011 zx10r didnt think it could be done until he seen the 10.10 run. So I have to do that before I stretch it. I wanna stretch it and go mid 9's and maybe a 20-30 shot to help it. He's gone 9.85 on the swb on his zx, he is stretching his currently and will probably be going low low 9's soon.

Sounds like a great goal to me. How was the DA when you ran? Do you have anything else you plan on doing to the bike to hit the 9 or just seat time and/or better weather?

Re: New Best

Nice. What tire are you running and what launch RPM? Any traction issues?

Good luck, man! Post up those results.

Re: New Best

stock tire, stock pressure, no issues with traction as long as the tire gets warmed up. Launch rpms are like 9,000 but I crack the throttle as I roll off the line so I really am not sure where they end up at lol.

Re: New Best

It took me all season to get to the 10.10. but every week I dropped a tenth or two, One more week and I think I would have ran a 9. Oh well, I am leaving the bike as it sits untill it goes 9's.

how did you delete the set valve? I did the disable mod. did you knock out the remaining valve or cut and weld new pipe?
