16, ego-driven, vlogg'n, hard-headed, know-it-all, arrogant, nooby kid on a gsxr600..what could go wrong?

I wish him and that bike the best of luck. They are both really going to need it.

With the way he rides, I'm betting he goes down within the first 5-6 months.

Re: The mad man actually did it

I wonder if his parents bought it for him. I can’t believe they let him, even if it was his money. Wasn’t this the kid that couldn’t afford tires or a new helmet?
Hell, mine wouldn’t even let me own a dirtbike ‘while I lived under their roof’. No shit, I bought my 1st bike (a DT 250) while they were away on a trip and when they got home, they said take it back or move out. Aaaand off I went, on my own

Re: The mad man actually did it

I was in the same boat. Couldn't get one, even if I saved and bought myself, while living under their roof. Then I could barely afford college so I waited until after I graduated and got a real job. But the patience definitely paid off.

I hope for the best for Chris, hopefully he starts to realize that the advice he received here was genuine and we were just looking out for his safety. Ride safe fam.

No, but he pretty much went down the same path I did which is why I have been enjoying following his threads on here lol. The main difference is that I had about 10 years of car driving experience under my belt before I hopped on a bike. Starting out on a 600 is a debate in itself...but starting out on a 600 when you're that young and have zero road/driving experience...well that's a recipe for disaster.

So you're not Chris, but you are the "I have car driving experience" guy.

I think I'm finally catching on here @bueshy
