When you come into the neighborhood at 5AM in the fucking morning and rev your gay ass 883 (with straight pipes mind you) to the moon several times to announce you're arrival. And when you have to rev you gay ass 883 everytime you leave, or go for that matter. Fucker did that twice this morning and I think it's time we have a talk.
You just got a bike for the first time, I get it. You're excited. So what.
Newsflash!!! The real riders creep into the community preferring not to be seen or heard. We know our bikes can be inherently loud and don't care to remind the neighborhood.
No one thinks you're any cooler. If you weren't getting pussy before, you're not suddenly going to get any now. Fuck you douchebags. And that goes for you sportbike douches who do that too.
Before we moved to a more rural area I would roll the bike out the garage, down the hill and start it away from the neighbors when I'd head out for early 5am rides on a Sunday.
When I'd come home late at night,I would shut the bike off and coast down the hill and into my garage so I wouldn't be that guy waking people up after midnight during the work week.
I agree with these posts, I live in a fairly decent neighborhood, and the only motorcycle around my house.
I certainly don't want my neighbors complaining about the sound of my bike.
I never 'rev' it in my neighborhood either.
Hey, can you guys please start emigrating to Australia??? We need real people here once again instead of the other shit f$@ck heads that have moved in lately.
We see the absolute straight piped middle eastern harleys, t-shirt ridden and with shorts sport bike riders with two brothers exhausts slamming their cycles all hours of the day, night, mornings at full throttle with absolutely NO RESPECT FOR THE LAW!!!
My country Australia has GONE TO THE DOGS!!!!
I just pray, that the coppers attitudes of the 60's & 70's era come back to sort these bastards out!
Ya'll need Trump, and more importantly
Sheriff David Clark! I'm proud to say, Sheriff Clark - while often in the nat'l media, is in MY county here in WI.
Don't know even if he knows he is doing it , harley guys rev their bike a lot for no reason all the time especially at slow speeds don't know why but they do
Now with that said he should be more considerate about housing area and time , I come home late on my cruiser but I keep the rpms low
Yah I got a Harley rider neighbor that loves to make a bunch of noise. It might just be him trying to keep it running. It sounds like garbage, I've honestly thought about going over n offering to help him get it running right so as not to hear it putzing down the road. I on the other hand, usually roll down my street in third gear at barely over an idle making no noise.
The best part is it is SO FUCKING TRUE! It honestly represents the majority of HD riders I have seen or met, and I'm actually surprised when they're not doing it. And this includes their "touring" bikes.
I try to be pretty respectful. When I had the supermotos I would keep the revs down (all had some type of pipe on them) late at night and kill it early and coast in when I was still living at home so I wouldn't wake my folks up. The 250R is stock so it's sewing machine quiet. Regardless of what I buy next, exhaust on it or not, I try to keep it down as much as possible.
