Re: Any word on the 2017 gsxr 1000
Peak power doesn't make or break the bike. The R1 doesn't make the same peak power as the others, AND has no mid range, and yet it's still one of the best because of the electronics. And nearly all those new 1000s with the exception of the s1000rr and maybe rsv4, suffer in mid range power. Suzuki "should" have that taken care of with the VVT.
As far as the zx10, the gsxr will have the same suspension, and although the gsxr might not have the nice m50 calipers, I'm betting it will be 500-1000 cheaper than the kawi.
After that, it all comes down to cost. Suzuki is known for their affordability, and I really think the price/performance ratio of the new bike will make it a big winner. It may not do EVERYTHING the best, but for the price it should be hard to beat.
