Gsxr Srad Disc Brake Problem?!

I need new disc brakes for my 1996 srad 750, i have seen that the k2 discs are also 320mm and in theory should fit. Has anybody put discs from a k2 on their srad or know of any problems i might come across like the centre of the rotors being a differant size? Thanks guys!!

Re: Gsxr Srad Disc Brake Problem?!

Except for carrier color they are the exact same. Actually all these are the same:

97-03 600
96-03 750
01-02 1000
99-07 Hayabusa
All TL1000S/R

Come to think of it, there are variations in number of spokes and rivets in the carriers - but it doesn't make any difference. The diameter, width of of the friction rings and the mounts are the same

Yep, thicker discs from 98 onwards iirc to help control warping and overheating, coupled with less mounting dowels and spokes to keep a similar weight to the old disc.

Yeah but only by ½ or 1mm - they will still fit in the calipers, the pistons just need to be pushed back a bit more.
