Best year GSXR? Any size

Well I just sold my 2001 GSXR 750

I loved it a lot so I'm looking at getting another one in the future. I was wondering which one you guys thought was the best all around? Was the 05 when they got a major rehaul?

My 2001 was a boat. So I'm just going off an assumption here when I say that a 2005+ 600 might be as fast as my 2001 750? The 750 was plenty of power but I'm thinking I'd get a 05-06 600.

Which size is best for torque and just the power in the low rpms?

Gee - hard to work that out mate. Your favourite is an 05 and you ride an 05...how original.

Mate - the best year GSXR hands down is the 1985/6 models. They are the bikes that started the phenomena that is the GSXR range today....

"Fastest" and "best" depend on what you will be doing with it. The newer 750's make fantastic track bikes. Any of the 1000's will give you the best low end grunt for street use. Comparable models, regardless of displacement, are all physically about the same size.

05-06 1000.

Still looks as good as any GSXR out there, stump pulling torque with little to no loss of top end compared to the 08/09.

I cant think of a better street bike.

It was kinda a highside machine on the track from what Ive heard, so stick with the 06-09 750 if you are looking for a track and street bike combined.

+1 But I'll go with the K3 . They look bigger but they are lighter as you said . Plus length & wheelbase is pretty much the same as the newer bikes .

Re: Best year GSXR? Any size

Well, maybe you guys can help me if I give you some details. I'll probably purchase another bike in about 3 years or so.

I love the looks of the 2000-2004 GSXR. The rest are great but that's my favorite.

THe 01 750 was my 3rd bike and I barely even tapped into the power of that thing. A 1,000 would be nice but I think that's just way too much power for putting around town and daily riding. It was also a boat. So big and heavy.

So I was thinking I'd get a late model 600 or maybe even a 00-04 600. Or another 750. Is there much of a difference between the 600 or 750 of the same years?

What do you guys recommend? Should I just go for a 00-04 600? I was thinking I could do that and then get something like a power commander and I'd be set. It'd be more nimble, cheaper, cheaper insurance, etc.

What are the power range differences between the two and the years? I'd assume a 600 would be more high end and a 750+ might be more low end/torque?
